Good sniper staying back is an asset to the team.
Bad sniper farming K/D and providing no real benefit to the team is a waste of space and will probably result in your team losing if the other team doesn't screw up worse. |

Sniper is the only class that I hate as both friend and foe. I get frustrated when I'm shot by a sniper. And I also get frustrated when I see one of my team members as a sniper.
No other class makes me frustrated in both ways.
It annoys me that we still cater for this scrub class - why do we still have them in FPS?
When Dust finally releases, I'd love to see a "No Snipers allowed" game mode. I guarantee it would be full to bursting! There are times when I see a sniper who's bad at their job, and just roll my eyes and wish they were on the other side instead of with my team.
There are also times where a GOOD sniper will save my life, and I'll be glad they had my back. |

I know what my preference would be. I'd trade 5 snipers for 1 heavy any day of the week!! Honestly, comparing a GOOD sniper vs. 3 semi-competent Heavies, I'd take the sniper.
Five of the usual snipers you see in the game vs. one of the same semi-competent Heavies, I'll take a Heavy. |

Enemy dies, objective doesn't get capped. Sounds like a good start. If they wait until AFTER the point is hacked, then you'd have an argument (and sometimes, they do - either because they suck at positioning or because they deliberately let the point get hacks so teammates can farm points hacking it back - only they usually suck at helping when the team is recapping the point, so it doesn't work. |
