Did not see this discussion much anywhere else. I feel that in situations where you would want to swap to a side weapon, like say if you are an AV and being suddely cornered by infantry, the time that it takes to switch weapons is too slow to make a difference. i.e. by the time you draw you side arm, you are down to a shred of the armor.
I suggest increasing the weapon swap speed. anyone with me? |

How are you swapping? I run Logi currently, but when I was using assault I just tapped R2 and it toggled quickly. You don't have to pull up the wheel.
Of course, if you're simply referring to how long it takes for the animation to complete, that's a different story. |

I believe CCP confirmed that there will be a sidearm quickdraw skill added in the future. I am looking forward that. |

5% per level actually wouldn't be half bad. Especially if it has a proficency skill that gives an additional 3% per level.
Im not sure how I'd feel if the quickdraw skill would be included with all weapons though. |

I tap R2 to swap. The wheel is sooo glitchy I only ever used it when I had a nano injector. There better be a separate skill for quick draw or they should fix the animation increasing the swap speed outright. It should be at least twice faster. |

Agreed... Switching to sidearm should be nearly instant... but only if the game has you drop your main weapon on the ground to do it, forcing you to have to retrieve your main when you want to go back to it.
Have a check box in the options menu for "Combat Hot Swap ON/OFF". |

Actually I disagree with it being faster. You shouldn't be able to instantly swap from your Main Weapon to sidearm, it should take time. |
