So am I the only one who thinks that the fact that the Amarr and Caldari get a missile turret on their starter LAV is just a little bit ridiculous?
I mean the missile turret has infinite range, stupidly high damage for a starter, and you don't even need to make direct hits thanks to the splash damage. Whereas the Minmatar and Gallente are stuck with this crappy little blaster. A blaster that has crap accuracy, insignificant damage, and can overheat causing you to have longer wait times when using it versus that missile turret being able to fire constantly for an indefinite amount of time.
Just saying, this seems like a MASSIVE balancing issue, or maybe it's just that the devs behind everything are just incredibly biased and prefer the Amarr and Caldari over the Minmatar and Gallente. |

You're right. Also free LAVs should be removed. |

I have the Gallente LAV starter kit and I enjoy it, always had problems with missiles not damaging when exploding around enemies (splash damage) but the blaster in the right hands can cut down infantry quickly before your driven out again |

Agreed. And proximity explosives equals boom!! plus three kills or two AV grenades equals boom!! three kills or two swarm launcher volleys and well by now you get the idea that LAVs are just vehicle popcorn just waiting to make a forge gunner smile.

The problem isn't that certain races start with the missile turret, the problem is the missile turret is extremely OP/unbalanced. I would much rather they rebalance the easy mode turret than just take it off starter LAVs. |

You can always buy a missile turret for your LAV. |

turrets should be removed from all starting LAVs.
Keep the free LAV, remove the turret. |

Keep the free LAV, remove the turret. That would require a rewrite of how fitting requirements work on vehicles, and also require a change to passenger mechanics on LAVs to account for a lack of weapon turret. |

Also, altering soldier animations and capabilities based on whether a weapon exists in a specific slot on a vehicle means a LOT more coding and animating than they'll otherwise need, so I doubt it will happen at all. Even if it does happen, it's at least another build away, we're probably too close to the next build for it to be considered that soon. |

Biggest issue I see with that is one starter LAV can kill other LAV's and one can't. That is a bit of an imbalance. I mean really, they're so cheap that you can just buy them but it's small details like this that separate well-thought out games and slapshod garbage. |

Don't they only cost something like 20,000? That's less than a cheap dropsuit and fittings cost for me. There is no reason at all an infinite supply is necessary. |
