Assault rifle needs to sound like its blasting out hot burning charged plasma ripping through the air at high velocities, and not like some generic military shooter gun. It needs to soun more scifi. |

I am still very interested in this minor thing (as well as a bunch of other minor things). A sound similar to the SMALL BLASTER turrets would be great. |

I have no problems hearing LAVs. Its thousands of years in the future, Earth has been lost for quite a long time with no way of getting back (and oil reserves probably got depleted even before that), it would be insane if we somehow used fossil fuels still. I don't get why anyone expects LAVs to sound like their current cars. |

Your logic applies to electricity too, why isn't that considered obsolete by you too? Sounds like you are biased against fossil fuels. Drill baby drill
What?! is electricity a nonrenewable resource that takes millions of years of highly pressured and heated dead organic matter to make? The universe isn't going to run out of electrons. How the hell is that even a comparison? For all you know, that electricity could be generated by some new energy source we haven't imagined yet, or it might not even be electricity at all, but something else that just sounds like that. |

Why does "something else" have to be electric? Hydrogen combusts too and doesn't require the molecular decomposition you have an issue with. Electric cars could very well be obsulete bc the conversion of electrons to mechanical work may never be able to drive around the mass of these future vehicles. It's quite basic really, a battery would have a real hard time driving a dust LAV considering a modern humvee weighs 5-10 tons.
Read the bold underlined italicized part. I clearly state it might not actually be electric at all. It could just happen to sound similar to an electric car. As for your comment about batteries, for all you know, a battery in EVE/Dust times could power a current modern city |
