Well, I was unable to play most of this week ever since the streaming content patch was put in. I can only say this, I like where you are going with it. Having things drop in throughout the match makes it a bit easier for pub squads to rally around something, since it is marked on the map, and defend it against the hordes (ok, it was about 6 on 6) that were attacking us. I also like that the first time I saw this feature I didn't get booted from the server with some internal error, but I may just be lucky I guess. Anyway, good job on this feature, some may not ever really notice it, but it made the random Ambush maps I play that much more fun. |

Anything that can change the dynamic of a map is good. People are getting far to set on our current 3 maps and even this will add a little bit to counter how static its starting to feel. |

What is 'this feature'?
CCP asked for feedback regarding streaming content in ambush but I have played many ambush matches since and saw nothing new. Obviously I have missed 'this feature'.
Anyone know what streaming content is? |

Streaming content is basically flipping on switches or tweaking currently existing mechanics without requiring a major re-code via server telling client the new rules.
These can be mostly done without a patch hopefully. |

I played in a match this morning with it. Basically, throughout the match installations fall from the sky, similar to the way they are seeded at beginning of Skirmish maps. Only they are randomly placed, and it isn't just at the start of the match. It makes the map basically constantly change, which changes the whole dynamic of how the map is being played. Great addition. |

Hearing about this has gotten me more excited about playing Dust than I have been for a while. Looks like I'll be playing some ambush tonight.

Update: 11/7 Okay, so I played for a couple hours last night and only got a couple matches where stuff actually dropped in. IT. WAS. AWESOME.
BUT! It needs to be MUCH MUCH more common to have matches where instillations drop in. It actually added some fun back into the game. |

2nd. In Factional warfare please have these placed by the MCC. Bein able to spawn turrets anywhere is silly. I want to buy and deploy them via air drop from my warbarge/MCC.
Also I hope the number of drops has a cap. So only 2 supply depot max, 8 turrets, so on. |

I beleive it only happens in the Ashlands and Line Harvest Maps. I havn't been to Skim Junction or Biomass yet. But me and my Corpmates went through Communication and Manus Peak on Ambush and neither of them had the new content.

since the streaming content feature has been turned on yesterday i have not been able to play the ambush maps where this feature was turned on. i have had frame drops,rubber-banding and the hit detection seems funny too. |

The spawn point system hasnt been fixed in the ambush map. I still get spawned in front 10 red dots and get shot in the face. The spawn mechanics is the thing that needs fixing. Not having multiple installations dropped down on you.
There is a very bad lag in spawning. My squad mate spawned on the map and a red dot started firing at him. He was very clearly on the ground but he said his screen said he was still spawning. I had to take a few of his bullets till he spawn so that he could run away.
Spawning is broken and still hasnt been fixed. |

yes spawning is the worst part of dust in terms of mechanics but thats not what this is about this about a awesome new feature that CCP needs to test to CCP so they can fix the lag now. |

Love the feature adds a new dynamic to ambush that I love however I do have some issues.
First off Depots especially when close together act like force multiplers for the dominating team especially when they are close together, I think power/important installation (cru and depots) should have a minimum distance between them so they don't all compact together and so one team cant control 3 or 4 different depots with one blob.
And I like to update the list of things you should spawn near 1. Within los of the enemy 2. Within 30m of the enemy 3. Right next to depots, especially your own (this leads back to that force multipler thing, a team should work for victory not have it handed to then) |

After pretty extensive review, i have found a couple things of note.
Either the installations are impacted by WP's, or they should be. It doesn't seem to be time, but clone reserves could be a possibility. I aslo think this great helps with all the vehicle spam you typically see on ambush. Being able to swap into a AA fit is a huge boon.
As a AV forge gun specialist, this is huge, and as far as all the vehicle QQ I think this is going to nip alot of that in the bud.
On Ashland, i love the supply depot added in the mdidle of the match, and wish that every ambush map came with a supply depot, if only one.
I have had a installation land near me (or on me), resulting in huge lag, and a WTF moment, as well as my shields being wiped.
I agree that the changes result in clumping alot, especially on Ashland, 4 supply depots within a 50 yard rage is a little redundant. The clumping or force multiplying effect does occur, especially between two friendly supply depots. I know myself being much more prone to throw down a drop uplink when there are two comfy supply depots to hug.
All in all, i think its a great addition, and look forward to new match modes.
EDIT:
I have seen one car that ended up on top of a installation that was called down, maybe a 5meter no call down zone around the fallen installations. |

Hey, I poured every cent i got into that thing, fell privileged to be steam rolled by it
I was thinking that a simple alert like the beam of light from an orbital would really help, a 4-5 second alert since it lags anyone around it out. |
