Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that AU tz games are half dead and twitching these days? its AU primetime as i type this and theres like 2 ppl playing ambush and skirmish is lucky if it gets above 6v6.
I realise CCP can't whip out the tasers and force AU players back to the PS3, but something needs to be done like filling the AU servers with players from the EU or US ones or allowing us to queue over there without conscripting a foreign player to squad queue people. |

+1
Besides the obvious game play issues, the main reason I quit dust is I got sick of 1vs1 games in AU prime time. So I switched focus to Planetside 2.
I look at these forums more than I play the actual game.
Option to pick server needs to be reinstated.
I'll eventually return to this game when I get sick of PS2, I want to play with my corp and they are mostly US based.
Side question to Beld and DeathDealer54 - what internet you guys play on? NBN? DSL? Cable - if so who? 4g/3g - if so who? Just curious about your connection type and quality. |

Or they could place us in theirs. 90% of the games I join without a US squadleader are by myself with NOONE on the other team. WTF?????? At least put me in an EU server please! |

Games with just 2-3 people should just put us on US servers, the lag isn't going to be worse than having to play against myself. |

I have been dropped into a few US server based games recently. No AU players that I could see. No idea why or how, but it was a refreshing experience. Even a little bit more lag was worth it |

I know what you mean. I got a extra isp which was meant to be for gaming. When I use that I get put on the asia/australian server. Game runs like a beast but there is always 1-2 people and sometimes I'm the only guy.
Put the other download isp back in and I'm off to the full servers in Europe. Laggy game but lots of people. Always choose the people option.
Only suggestion I can offer for this is get a European or American friend, let them make the party. Catch a ride to their servers. Been doing that on the american servers these last few days to get a handle on the lag.
Hope you find a solution because these maps are a pain playing against 1 person. Feels like golf.
Edit: Sorry, just realised you been doing the same thing. |

While I play on Asian servers most of the time I am totally against being forced to play on AU servers.
Even with patches and fixes the lag whenever I find myself on an AU server is atrocious, even when it's only 4v4.
I'd rather play 1v0 matches on Asian servers than matches where I can't hit the broad side of a barn because lag has me bouncing 20m left as soon as I stop moving.
I don't know if it's really just a bad connection somewhere or if your whole net isolationism and game censorship nonsense is mucking me about but that lag seems a 2-way street with Auss unfortunately. |

Who would want to play a 1v0 match? Seems dumb to me. How would game censorship affect lag? Don't come up with things that have nothing to do with this. I doubt that every single game on the AU server is laggy for you because of us. It's most likely something on your end causing it. Also I've played plenty of games on NA and EU servers without lag.
Anyway our server populations are getting smaller and smaller. You'll be hard pressed to find a game without southern legion members in it which just goes to show how little people there are from here playing this game. I hope CCP does something to bring the players back though because playing the same people over and over gets old after a while. |

If I was you I would do a ping test. Had similar problems on a different game and it was a problem with my packet loss which created stuttering. Was caused by the isp I was using at the time.
On the other note. I leave all games that are 1v0. Even if its lan connection good what's the point of hitting a barn door if there are no clones behind it? |

Its pretty bad when members of the corp refuse to join squads with other SL because there will be nobody to shoot at. Half the time the poor randoms end up leaving the game, and who can blame them.

Skirmish, free 1000ish WP and related SP and ISK for victory while just relaxing.
Best match (gain-wise) was 1v2 though... 28kSP, 361ISK, 5 Prometheuses and 5 Proto SMGs with a solo orb-strike gained. All for running in circles while one of theirs ran opposite re-hacking everything and occasionally unloading an SMG magazine into the face of the heavy who was trying to track me down.
I've had some more intense rounds too with the low player count as they demand I'm sneakier and more clever than my opponent rather than the big matches where my role is just to hang out and aide my squaddies.
I do get what you're saying though. |

beld is right, au players need options!
I have seen people saying squad up or die on au server which is mostly true and 30 mins later beld would say he would not squad up so that randoms would hopefully not rage quit!
P.S.
Beld is an excellent player! |

The alternative is to run SL squads against each other when that happens its a great game but to often the battlefinder gets strange and you see a game where it was 5 players against 4 SL then another squad gets put in and its 8 vs 5, they get redlined and no one really has fun. |

Doesnt help that one clan is dominating 90% of matches in AU for the last few weeks, other games are more fun.
EDIT: oh wait, its your corp thats grouping up and owning all the PUGers. |

Yes we certainly have hand in this, Southern legion is the product of a merger between the 3 largest AU tz corporations for the purpose of doing AU proud in the tourny, once the tourny is over one of the groups will split off again but SL will remain the dominate power in the AU tz till more players group up. |

Asia server has been plagued with this problem since last build. (and perhaps way before that) There is simply not enough ppl here. With this build and the coming of corporation. It help some player a little but severely worsen the problem.
Most if not all good players find their way to a corp so they can play in other region server (me included) which desert the server even more. Prime time or not there is hardly anyone playing in that server nowaday.
I'm all for non-restrict region match making. Best solution would be an ability to choose which region you want to queu up for match making. Not only us Asia/AU player can choose to go to more populated server at expense of our latency. US/EU players can do the same and play here if their server has problem, unstable, lag. Asia server is basicly untouched and the most stable among all. |

Could you consider splitting yourself into 2 groups, or by other means spreading yourselves between the two sides.
It would be better for your practice (because people might actually play), and better for puggers. |

Some of us are actually playing solo for this reason. Also as Beld said above, thanks to CCP's awesome matchmaking, even if we do that, we will often have the next 5 or so randoms join one side entirely, thus we end up with an unenjoyable game anyway. The only real solution I can see is enough players to fill both sides entirely, thus meaning another community group, be it EU or US.
Edit: He beat me with his own requote. |

Tried playing tonight at about 11pm, 3 players total in the skirmish game I joined, played 10 mins of extremely boring merry go round the capture points, tried joining another game afterwards no one playing at all, tried quitting and rejoining a number of times in hopes the bug that puts me on the US servers would kick in, no luck go to bed a very unhappy AU TZ dust player.
Can't test if we can't play.
CCP Nullabor, we could use a champion here mate. |

Yep, basically there's TSOLE (us), a couple of SoA guys still bringing the good fight, some guys from other/bigger corps and the usual randoms.
Also no offence, but our randoms are better at DUST than the randoms from other servers :P |

Again, I'm with Beld on this topic. AU players need the option which server they can select for match making.
A CCP / Dev response would be appreciated. |

Yeah thats not gunna happen they swept the other topic into the abyss of tech support without so much as a GM reply saying "moving this to tech support" they obviously don't want to comment on the problem. |

Well I just had the most interesting game ever.
I was able to hack every single point on the map (turrets and all) before even 1 player joined. At which point the enemy MCC was almost destroyed.
WTF CCP, this is a game killer for us Aussies and something needs to be done. Or at the very least some acknowledgement please. |
