Why would we care?

Because ROFL needs to go against the might of Imperfects!

And KEQ also needs to vs SyN!

And you're also not vsing your alliance corp who you're good mates with.

So what you're saying is that the HAV and Dropships that we're blowing up will belong to different people?

In seriousness tho this is a bit odd to me. I'm not quite following what method was used to decide the current set up.

In the end tho I suppose a match is a match is a match so we'll gear up to play just the same and let the chips fall where they may.

I hope you have more vehicle capability then WTF got. Cause with only AV you wont win the match, they tried it and failed.Anyway we are going to see each others on the weekend. And dont forget best of 3 and not just 1 match. Basically who first wins 2 times will proceed in the tournament. And i can grant you that SI is going to gear up massively. Expect to see proto gear and all kind of vehicles. Im excited for this a oponent that can put up a good fight.

Dude give up you had 2-3 dropships that took off from your spawn point but they got instantly shot down. Oh and only having a dropship doesnt make you a good pilot. Like jenza i see her quite a good amount of times flying but she gets allways shotdown. Oh and beware of the frame rate issues you will get them and then you are dead. Good that i have better hardware then 99% off the players on this game. And i dont mean ingame items.

I was checking out the updated bracket this morning and i noticed that for EU. Quarters finals are :

ZION TCD against SI and WTF vs Southern Legion.

Where initially it was supposed to be 1st vs 2nd of a same group.

Personnaly, i tend to like it better this way as it allows to play one more different team and it's way more common as a tourney mechanics than having quarters between members of a same original group. Now, i would have thought it would be :

First group A against Second group B etc...
Thus => WTF vs ZION and SI vs southern.

It sucks because we were making strategies to use against Zion, then we made ones for WTF and now we're back to zion.

In the interest of lessening the confusion around the tournament we will keep things as they are and continue with the a1 vs a2 scheme for the remainder of this tournament. In the future we will introduce better matching systems and improve the whole process. Thank you.

I think this is a very mature thing of CCP to do. Admitting a mistake and correcting it imidiately is a sign of good will and the ability and willingness to make things work. Thanks and thumbs up from me.

It is obviously wrong that the two leading corps from each bracket is to knock one of eachother out in the quarterfinals, its just bad form.

In all honesty the brackets are correct now. You never do out of group play till u reach semifinals in anything. The reason it is an issue is b/c of the round r,obin play. If they simply increase the teams, 24 or 32 total, and do a pure elimination game till reach the quarter finals then everything would of worked like a proper bracket.
