Allow drop uplinks to send out a pulse every couple of seconds that would show who is in the area that way u can tell if someone is camping the uplink so u don't spawn into enemy fire.
Maybe send out an electro wave that stuns enemy suits upon spawning for a couple seconds allowing for retaliation. Cause if your going to sit and watch an uplink hoping for free kills u deserve some kind of punishment. |

I personally think the person spawning in without making sure the area is safe before doing so should be the one punished.
I, however, wouldn't have a problem with there being a scanner/uplink hybrid that could detect people within a small radius around itself that required more cpu/pg to fit. It should also take the uplink and scanning skills to use. |

Well how about I encountered two guys camping a uplink with sniper rifles? honstly, I want a drop pod/like spawn for uplinks. that way, the uplink problemwiould be solved. |

True but i don't see people camping uplinks with rifles very often and i have played games with the pod drop in feature but instead of pods how about we free fall to main spawn like in section 8. |

Not really since you would still have snipers watching your spawn point.
If people are camping the Uplinks, don't use em and try and place a new one. You should know after two spawns at most whether or not if an uplink was being camped, so if it is move it and flank the people trying to camp you. As someone who frequently uses them, I know how sucky it can be to have one get camped, but I also know how effective they are when placed in a hidden location and used by your whole squad to change the tide of a battle.
That said, having a Scanner on a higher tier version would be nice without being overpowered. |

If you deploy an uplink in an area that can be camped by snipers, you're doing it wrong IMO.
Also, TC and second poster have amazing ideas. I love the idea of a drop uplink with a built-in scanner.
Another idea that I really like is some form of instant-spawn drop uplink (obvioulsy with VERY limited uses or some such thing) which would allow for "hot drops". That would be amazing. |

The inherent flaw with the logic of put it in a place where it can't be camped, is, there are no places in the game where an uplink couldn't be camped. If you can get to it, so can someone else. And since we have a lot of mentally challenged buttwipes in the game who think they're being kewl dewds by doing so, they camp uplinks and spawns. I personally choose not to, I see an enemy uplink, I blow it up. It's much more fun to get kills through hunting for them.
Now on the proper placement thing, it's way easy to put one where an enemy sniper can't get ya. But like I said anyone else that knows you were up there is gonna go up and look or go after anyone else they see spawn up there.
I think the Uplink sending out a regular sensor pulse would be a good idea, short to mid range that can't penetrate walls. |

If this isn't added to uplink perhaps it could be a version of the nanohive? There's a nanohive that repairs armor why not a nanohive that detects nearby enemies? |

I like the idea of uplinks being crappy scanners (just enough to avoid insta shotgun death). Scanning skills shouldn't be needed, but should effect the range/accuracy of scanning, though this might be much harder to implement. |
