This would only be okay as long as they weren't able to instagib anything airborne, though. It should take quite a few shots to kill a vehicle. |

i would think a 1 gun for small turrets that fires 100 damage explosives with a sizable blast radius, at a fairly good RoF. the alrge turret version would be a 4 smaller turrets straped togetehr doing the same thing as a small one, just more dakka.

The general idea sounds quite good. Would need a lot of tine tuning of course.
Currently the blaster turrets simply don't have the range to be effective at this job. Or is it that the Dropships have almost infinite range on their missile launchers? |

Russian aa rounds burst at set distance and spray pellets ahead like a shotgun blast. Some similar western ammo is being developed(they are being fancy and making it burst at range to target to have optimal pattern rather then set distance, search AHEAD)
Something with this effect could be good for scifi setting, projectile travels say 100m then bursts into a shotgun spread each child projectile flying out to max range before burning out.
Also, a lock on like swarm version of large missile launcher? Maybe this version could do 15hp splash damage like swarm too.
Blasters are high damage close range weapons, not a good aa option, but sadly best at moment for vehicles. Would make good armament on fighter though, sci-fi ww2 dogfight. |

i would like a lock on missile launcher and a flak gun for turrets as effective AA weapons, call in a nearly free LAV and fill the sky with AA.
even if this is added swarms and dropships should be looked at CCP,a s in make swarms proper missile launchers and dropships fly like a transport |

I think non-direct hits should have a chance of killing dropship passangers and a much lower chance of damaging the pilot. It should take a couple of direct hits to take the dropships down.

dont care what its called, just this function is a time and tested method of blasting planes out of the sky, fill it with shrapnel.
proximity roound that have wide blast radius and ok damage at a good RoF is all that is needed. railguns are more like machine guns or direct fire cannons. |

The flight ceiling is really low and aircraft are slow. We don't need flak like bursters or whatever from Planetside 2. If you have a vehicle out with the point of shooting aircraft, then strap a blaster or railgun onto it and go to town. |

If you look under turrets in marketplace you can see that there are more turrets coming just not ingame yet, autocannon, artilary and 1 or 2 more |

slow? are we playing the same game? dropship run circles around everything and blast the ground going from 20/0 to 60/0 obviously that fligth ceiling isnt doing anything to your ability to fly flak guns would be a strong counter to them |
