The dark cloud Seraphim Initiative. CRONOS. 1060	Posted - 2012.10.27 19:41:00 - [1] - Quote these guys where only capable fielding 8 players. A half team against us who had 15 players on the team (+1 GM=16). And the worst is that they couldnt even cap 1 single objective, no resistance, nothing. A n00b corp got there instead of a good corp like STB, Triton or Betamax. This is why only corps who are capable to field 16 players at any time should play this tourny.

Randoms on a public skirmish match put up a better fight then that "corp". I woulda respect them if they had a full team but bringing only 8 guys against us is offending my honor as a merc.

Corp spots should've been done through leader boards to keep it competitive.

At least a few were making a real effort to go for the objectives despite massive odds stacked against them. I had to fight off a few LAVs around C (they started from the South). Naturally the redlining was inevitable at the end, but this doesn't say anything about the individual quality of the players who were there. I just wish they could've scraped together a few more players to make it competitive. Hopefully for future tournaments like this there will be better ways to prove a corp can field enough players concurrently.

I also think you are forgetting our loss to ZionTCD when we played them 5vs8. Zion didn't start saying we were a nOOb corp. When the game goes live, this will happen to us all. Well, everyone except Zion & Betamax. Sheer size has it's advantages. We are not a large corp, and have no intention of being such currently. So please be more gracious.

But please remember, it is the format which is to blame mostly here. The corp (albeit misguided) thought they had a chance. I doubt they would have turned up otherwise. So take a deep breath, sit back and remember, it's just a game (in beta) ;)

Anyway I want to thanks ppl that intervened on our behalf. Just don't want to be considered what we absolutely are not ( a n00b corporation).

And Borg im not in SI for my polite behaviour im there because im playing very good and i will be loyal to the corp. And yes i still see this as a scandal simple due to the fact that you can win multiple ingame items and then not having enough players to show up. This tourny is ment for competetive players and if you take it serious you better show up with enough players. And other corps did put way more effort into this and got dissapointed for not making it in. I maybe have no clue about it what a 16 man team of them would be aible to do but oh well i think CCP will introduce 16 vs 16 regular corp matches soon instead of the 8 vs 8. When we are at that point then these guys can challenge us again but for now i keep looking at them as a "n00b corp".

Well you can "guarantee" Numbers, 1st did you actually try asking all your corp members before you applied? 2nd if you couldn't contact them because they were offline then they are probably not going to turn up anyway, you had plenty of time to sort it out before the tournament sign ups ended. Thank you, I really think you'r right. But only 16 spots were available so I got to be quick. Furthermore it was 2.00 am here when i read it, so I just applied. It's not an excuse, almost all players in Dust would have done the same thing.

Ah yes the guts, the balls, the nerves of steel these few, this 8, this band of immortal brothers had to show up. It seems that there has not only been one corp to not be able to field a full team. Perhaps showing that you had 25 members wasnt enough should have been like 50. Anyway CCP learned something, the players learned something, and i as a positive force of happiness and rainbows believe that perhaps the next one shall be better! : D P.S. Well you challanged me in our corp chat, dared to tell me to call you a m00b there and you got a honest answer from me. If you think i bow down to any 1 then you have a wrong impression. If i say something like that then i stand to it like a man. You thought i would be scared to repeat myself while our CEO was in the chat but think again. And im not know to be political correct. If i hurted your feelings then its just a collateral damage to me. Others in our corp doesnt share the same opinion but thats fine for me. Long story short: Im reckless and i stand to what ive sayd.

We don't really like vehicule gameplay, we're gonna find a way or another to deal with it. But, still today, small missile turret are an exploit for me.

Oh yeh its my saga with a XT-1 fragmented missile launcher and a 20% damage mod. Pops enemys most of the time in 1 shot. And yeh that guy who went 53-0 had the time of his life. But on the other hand the guys on the other team where scrubs. With some effort they woulda had destroyed the LAV but oh well they thought it was a militia LAV that would cause no trouble. Seriously 3 Av grenades or 2 swarm launcher hits and its gone. Or do you want to bring up again a argument saying that LAV's are overpowered cause they can escape quickly. Sorry that i didnt had my dropship out otherwise you would had a pathetic excuse that militia swarms wont hit it. These guys coulda either used Av mines, Av grenades or something better then militia swarms to take out the LAV but hey stick to your illusion that a duvolle will solve all tasks on the battlefield. And you forget 1 major aspect: i as a driver/pilot dont get any kills only the assists from my gunner. you can be happy that the LAV turret needs to be operated by some 1 else except the driver.
