these guys where only capable fielding 8 players. A half team against us who had 15 players on the team (+1 GM=16). And the worst is that they couldnt even cap 1 single objective, no resistance, nothing. A n00b corp got there instead of a good corp like STB, Triton or Betamax. This is why only corps who are capable to field 16 players at any time should play this tourny. |

That's a good point but how do the Devs know who can field what? The best they could do was have the corp send in its roster to show it has at least 16 members. |

well i dont think that i have to mention that we redlined them the whole match. Randoms on a public skirmish match put up a better fight then that "corp". I woulda respect them if they had a full team but bringing only 8 guys against us is offending my honor as a merc. |

The fact that they even showed up is testament enough. They could have either never showed up or just left after they saw that they were wholly outnumbered. |

Don't be to hard on them at least they had the guts to turn up to a match they were blatantly going to lose .
I personally would have respected them less if they had not turned up at all.
But i agree there place could have been better given to someone else .

First of all, the Maphia corp is spelled like that. Secondly, I have no pity for this corp at all. You do not shed in an application for a tournament when you know you will not win. Currently, Universal Royal Allies has 98 members, STB and Tristan both have more than 100, and there's more deserving corps out there. Corp spots should've been done through leader boards to keep it competitive. |

i been on proper fps's last 2 weeks, not spoken to a single person that had something positive to say about this beta. |

I have to say fair play to the players who turned up. At least a few were making a real effort to go for the objectives despite massive odds stacked against them. I had to fight off a few LAVs around C (they started from the South).
Naturally the redlining was inevitable at the end, but this doesn't say anything about the individual quality of the players who were there. I just wish they could've scraped together a few more players to make it competitive. Hopefully for future tournaments like this there will be better ways to prove a corp can field enough players concurrently. |

Pretty true! I can't control my mates mind, so i can't tell you why many of us didn't even log on the PSN. Btw we still wanted to fight because if we didn't it wold've been pretty disrespectful toward corporations who applied but didn't got in. Dark Cloud you say we're a noob clan, it's ok this is your point of view based on one match where we couldn't deploy 16 guys. Did you felt better when you typed it on this forum calling it a "scandal"? really don't get it. By the way you can say that I am a noob, that many in my corporation are noob, but i really won't let you say that my corp is a "noob corp". Just don't talk about something you don't know. Many would remember us on MAG BF3 and so on and if you don't, maybe we've got another noob. I'm not gonna cry like someone else. By the way I just want you to keep in mind that you called us noobs. Indeed, I think you should be careful when posting Cloud. We didn't have everyone on who we wanted either. This is a common problem in FPS games. I can confirm that Maphia have rolled out 32 players for MAG battles. They are not cowards, and should be given the respect due ANY opponent we fight. Sure go Epeening o
They showed up undermanned and they played with what they had. Less players is always a disadvantage. It is NOT worthy of a post on the forums.
I also think you are forgetting our loss to ZionTCD when we played them 5vs8. Zion didn't start saying we were a nOOb corp. When the game goes live, this will happen to us all. Well, everyone except Zion & Betamax. Sheer size has it's advantages. We are not a large corp, and have no intention of being such currently.
So please be more gracious. |

Respect your honour as a merc? Can someone bring this guy down a hundred pegs or two? This is a game. Furthermore a game in beta. I understand how serious gaming can be and how frustrated you can get when you want to play professionally and have nothing but noobs ruining your experience. But please remember, it is the format which is to blame mostly here. The corp (albeit misguided) thought they had a chance. I doubt they would have turned up otherwise. So take a deep breath, sit back and remember, it's just a game (in beta) ;) |
