If there's one pet peeve I've got in this game it's a blue dot with a nanite injector running right over me while I'm dying on the ground requesting help. If there's no immediate danger, take two seconds to switch to that nanite injector and get your teammates back up. Your K/D will be fine I promise. |

Ditto. Things like this is why blue dots get a bad name. If you're not going to use the nano injector, just don't equip it. People wait around to get revived because it says triage is near when they could just be hitting suicide and respawning to get back in the action.
Inversely if you are down, wait for triage to have a chance. I run injectors and far too often see people suiciding just as I get to them. If there are hostiles near you it may take a minute. If there are a LOT of hostiles near you, then it is, in fact, the better idea to suicide and get back into the fight. |

Following the same thought, take 5 seconds when spawning to see if there's a drop link down. I put so many down after taking time to put them in safe locations near objectives and nobody spawns on them. |

I'd also like to add that if you have a dedicated Logi on the field, make it a priority to revive them. Support classes are called force multipliers for a reason, provide LogiBros with a little support and you'll get a lot in return.

EDIT: Uplinks, yes use them. Sometimes they get camped (just like any other spawn point) but most of the time those who spend the PG/CPU to fit them also spend the time to put them somewhere safe. |

Dear Medics,
Why the F___ do you have a nanite injector fitted if you don't even use it?

I always place the drop uplinks in places that are meant to be safe and well hidden so that A) you won't get camped and B) you have plenty of cover around you to get your bearings straight. |

You know, I'd do this.... IF, and only IF, we get the ability to SELECT THE ITEMS WITH THE MOUSEWHEEL AGAIN.
There are so many pre-corpses sitting there on the field that will bleed out and die a horrific death because I no longer care to play Logi because it's just too much of a pain to hold down CAPS LOCK while moving and trying to select from that compass ross silliness. |

There are still a lot of problems with the injectors that have not got addressed in 3 builds.
1) The points are equal to a kill, the risk to revive does not equal the reward. I know that sounds awful but its true. In Mag if you revived someone you got the same amount of points as 5 kills. Of all the problems in that game reviving wasnt one of them.
2) Clones respawn way to quick from 3 seconds to 10 seconds. Its easier to just hit circle than wait 15 seconds for a medic to see and respond to you. This cause a lot of logi to run into the open for corpses that just respawn getting the logi killed for no reason.
3) The body radius is still broken , doing the square dance while clicking R1 repeatedly sucks. After 3 builds im starting to think CCP wants you to die for the economy and micro transactions.
4) No one wants to spend 25,000 isk or something like that for a injector that works right , it should just be a skill for more health or everyone will just use the militia version making players revive just to die upset ruining KDR.
5) The icon for your body is way to small and the minimap in this game is garbage for any type of locating for anything.
6) Switching weapons or using menus while on the battlefield is still to sluggish and laggy.
Also my two cents , Squad leaders having a mic this doesnt neglect you from marking squad orders. Squad Leaders without mics the same. There is no reason not to give orders , if you feel this is to much please resign. |

The WP for the revive are also good, especially if a member of squad or a 'defend' order is in place.
Apart from anything else, the benefit of having an ally close at hand rather than having to run from the nearest CRU (etc) should make everyone have at least 1 nanite injector per squad.
Last but not least, your teammates will love you for reviving them, especially if they have an expensive fit |

Like most things in this game, it's a joke to use. I've lost count how many times I've been killed running in circles trying to use the stupid thing. The only time I bother now is if I'm in a squad. I'm amazed how long this beta's been running and how broke it is. |

alternate solution for selecting nanite injector, make it shoe prompt to push O interact button if near if it is fit instead of if held. More people may use it then. It would also be nice if both person with injector and one on ground were shown distance to each other.
Oddly, injector does not work well for melee. After running out of ammo for ar, sidearm, and grenades I tried stabbing enemy with nanite injector. It seems to not be as good as rifle butt yet looks so pointy. |

I can agree that it is pretty irritating when i see Bluberries run right over my corpse not knowing which is the Triage unit and whatnot. Esspecially if i went out of my way to die in a safe area. Sounds weird i know but it's true.
For those that don't know it's cuz the Area where you can Stab somebody is slightly off so if your lucky you can get someone revived from an interesting distance. So for you assault guys, try to make sure if your targeting somebody far away and figure it'd be a good idea to draw attention to yourselfs. at leat make sure if you fall your going to do it somewhere near cover from snipers.
Can't tell you how many times i went to revive somebody who decied to chase down a guy and got picked off by a sniper. Also when you get a Rez look to see if the Logibro that revived you brought a Repair Kit to bump your armor back up with before you run off to find your next victum. |

One of the big problems here is asking people to rely on others. Something I require as I run a frontline logi, as I think many others posting do as well.
We're dealing with re-teaching other gamers how to play as a team and depend on their teammates. They're all so used to going lone-wolf and massacring two dozen guys before they have to even think of reloading so why would they start to rely and trust in others now? The issue is that this game and its mechanics demand it if you're going to be an effective soldier, even if you are just a run-and-gun assault guy.
Learn your team's abilities and take advantage of them. You'll do significantly better than going off on your own and ignoring your allies' assistance. |

The ability to revive someone is still klunky(pun). As a logi player one thing i can tell you is switch to team chat so you can hear me say im in route, and keep an eye on your radar for a blue dot B lining it too you....
On a side note, i have 3.8M ISK so i will spend the dough on better injectors |

I think it's a catch 22 right now.
I used to run with Injectors nearly all the time and as it was a very good way for me to gain SP, I would run to where I saw a man down whenever I could possibly do so.... mainly because I thought it reduced the kill count and because I was terrible at shooting people.
However, more and more, people just simply gave up and suicided just when I was on top of them....... some of it would have been down to timers running out, but mostly it was because they didn't want to wait.
Now it has kinda got to a point now where I'll go to someone that I can see on my radar, but no further than that...... bad as it may sound.
Regards
Jax |
