So some ppl want the driver to be a driver and also not the main gunner, if i did have a 4man tank i wouldnt mind tbh because i would be able to concentrate on driving and not activating boosters while i try to keep someone pinned down
Would we want a 4man squad tank? it is another vehicle and option and also makes a squad work together in the tank and would also require the enemy AV squad to work together also
Would you like a 4man tank? Yes
What skill preq would you put on it? Caldari/Gallente HAV 5, Advanced HAV lvl 1
How many mid/low slots would the tank have? Shield tank - 6mid/4low, Armor tank 4mid/6low
What would be the cost? 5-7mil
Would it have any racial bonuses? Yes, but not just for turrets, it would be for the shield and armor aswell so for example Caldari HAV 5% bonus to shield resistance for each Adavanced HAV lvl and 5% bonus damage for kinetic missiles
How many base shield/armor HP would it have? Shield i would say 5-7k and1500armor and reverse it for armor tank
How many base PG/CPU would it have? Not sure but it would have to be increased
Would it have driver bonuses? I would like to say yes but not sure what they should be tbh, maybe an increase in prop mods duration or even speed
Would the pilot dropsuit effect the HAV in anyway? I think it should, maybe something like giving a better radar so you can see roads and buildings, possibly a small powergrid or CPU boost, it would depend on the mods available to the suit which would then interact with the HAV and help increase the HAV ability
Squad links? Defo a squad lock so only members from that squad can get in, thus a gunner can jump out and hack something then nip back in without a blue dot nicking the seat
Driver pts - Mostly will be the vehicle kill assists and for any mines that the gunners destroy and installations

I don't really care for the idea of said tank requiring separate driver/gunner duties, I'm quite content driving said tank and directing the gun to where it is needed the most.
On the flip side, the only possible reason I could think of for supporting this is because I'd really enjoy getting 4-kills at a time with Forge Gun instead of 3.

A 3 men squad tank is today the right way ... Because the 4th one is suppose to be in an LAV with remote repairer...
Remember what devs said after tank nerf : they can be still OP, but only with a good teamplay...
Remote armor/shield repairer are on the market, it's not for nothing !!! |

The tank would be much stronger tho, this would be a proper tank not like the current paper tanks we have

Top gunner still clips the main gun half the time, if anything top gunner covers the back and the front gun for the sides i dont see how it would work tbh |

Ahh yes thats right i was parked next to the resuply depot repairing with lots of space for you to get around yet you still drove straight into me, good job.
although i died in the red zone after farming the 2 tanks that came up the hill infront of you, you did hit me, but you would have met the same end as your team mates.
Keeping them 3 man would be better than 4, like Iron wolf saber said just need to fix the top gun |

You mean when you have 3 forge gunners outside your tank and then your tank which i crushed well into half armor before you realised your tank is too slow to get out of the redzone]
4man would add another option overall |

If you want to put a remote module on a LAV i advise to do it on a logistic LAV cause they can take quite a good amount of a beating. And i think you shouldnt count on armor tanks anymore simple cause every other tank driver specced probably to large missiles and shields. Simply cause swarms cut trough armor like a hot knife trough butter. And to top it shield tanks can use hardeners while armor tanks have no counterpart to that. Another factor is that cooldown times for remote repair modules are now 30 secs for small and 60 secs for large modules while shield modules have a 15 sec cooldown. Also large missile turrets have a damage boost towards armor while there are no tank turrets that do increased damage against shields. overall the tanks are now extreme unbalanced. |

Also missiles rip through armor and sagaris has a bonus to it aswell as the maurauder book |

Logi is sorta mechanic anyways at least for armor
Are you taking about each person in the tank having diff skills which effect the HAV overall? |

i like this idea, as long at the small turrets get a good area of visibility, like 360 degrees for both that way you can focus fire in at any direction

i think it would be easier for them to just make a tank variant that has no large turret slot and 4 small turret slots, it really wouldnt take much to get that, and add like 2 passenger slots |

If its an APC then i see it being anti infantry weapon on top, like a blaster short range, low damage but high ROF or maybe even a lazer turret
If you can put an anti vehicle turret on top like a railgun then it will be gd against LAV and other MAV but a HAV will laugh mostly i bet
Plus it should have a CRU in it, maybe driver and also a gunner and 4 empty seats with an eject button

You do know that turret wise they have railgun/missile/blaster atm with lazer/autocannon/artys being added on later once they have figured it out |

I think it should go completely the other way with tanks only having 1 person inside them, the gunner positions go a long way towards making them so terrible to fight. |

Yes, this way you could create an unstoppable force on the battlefield. The only drawback would be that you would need your crew to accomplish it. |

I guess this is relevant. If you scroll down they talk about a squadron command vehicle , which is big tank that can hold 6 people. , but need warpoints to call in. But its a really old article. |

This is general discussion how would you build your 4man tank? 7 k armor . yeah right my tank has 10,000 armor. might want to make it more like 14,000 a syara can get 11,000 armor. so yea. Lol as for the rest. it sounds good as long as it is not required and is a different tank. :)

Okay, am i the only one who has created a "5" man tank, this game has mechanics that make it so if you jump ontop a tank it can drive around and you won't fall off as long as the vehicle isn't at a angle so just get yourself driving, 2 logi's as gunners and have 2 heavys with forge guns or miniguns crouching ontop |

4 man vehicles OR 6 man squads. Right now it makes no sense. 6 man squads would rock, imo. Two LAVs or two HAVs or one of each, or enough peeps to fill a dropship. 6 man squads is the more logical move. |
