I feel pretty good about most of the skills that are currently in the game, with the exception of weapon skills. They seem very uninspired at the moment. Some end up being exceedingly useless, such as with sidearm rapid reload proficiency when using a pistol, or the capacity proficiency skill when using a forge gun. Yes, it gives you more forge gun rounds, but not very many in comparison to the SP required. I mention these 2 specifically because they each represent 50% of their respective weapons classes.
The skill that reduces CPU usage is obviously beneficial for anything. More so for some than for others, but not really useless for anything. But as for the rest it just lacks a certain something. I think getting rid of the current weapon skills in favor of weapon specific skills would go a long way to improving a lot of things. I'm sure it would also prevent a lot of things from becoming "OP", using the stupidly loose definition of the word around here.
Changing the pistol skill to add an additional round to the clip is what got me thinking. That is exactly what they needed and what appropriate for that particular weapon, but not appropriate for every weapon. I know that's what you're doing with the operation skills, but I still think the rest of them are just lacking. |

We will have many more weapons in each category eventually. The lack of amarr weapon for amarr heavy is good example.
I would like to keep the slot based skills we have now, maybe additional skills could be added for energy(scrambler and lr), rail(forge, sniper), blaster(shotgun, ar), and projectile(smg, hmg) |

yep, cant wait for the next update, or final version when we see more of the game. But, ultimately agreed, the skills need some work. |
