I don't see how in the hell this could have ever happened .....its such bullshit.EVE players sending there ALTS millions if not billions of dollars.WTG CCP. I dont know how many times I said it.An EVE player can do an INCURSION and get "hella Bank" and just give it to his DUST alt's corporation.......lol like you didnt know they were going to do this. What about the guys that dont have EVE friends yet OR alternate accounts. You know the console players you wanted to bring in to New EDEN.........why fix it now.I was half way into deciding to get an EVE account so I could do the same thing.Isnt that what you want? For me to subscribe? So I can be on an equal footing?
Lol an rectify it?Really ?Damage is already done....Using ISK to recruit people as a sign on bonus.Millions of dollars per player....and whats that to them? A day of mining.
Why dont we just tell the truth. This game is DLC you decided to put on a console.Because you needed manpower.A stand alone DUST player .......even ZITRO will always just be a planet dwelling monkey looking for a hand out.A dust player could never form an empire or even hope to convince a EVE player to take a risk because from what i see.We DUST players will never be equal monetarily. Its just EVE players having minions....damn I shouldve known better. |

The pain will come not from this, but when Dust players can hold planets, and when Planetary interaction isn't the only industry that effects the game... I'm thinking new ships will come out in EVE that will require resources from planets that will require conquering to secure... Does this mean Dust players wont be paid off to do EVE players bidding?? Absolutely not, most likely they will, but what it COULD mean is if Dust players wanted to stop accepting the money, and hold back the resources by preventing EVE acquisition they could potencially drive up the market and get equally as rich as EVE players...
All that needs to happen is CCP needs to give us one resource that required planetary control, and that resource needs to be required in order to move onto the next stage of ship development of some type.
Am I saying its going to happen that way? No, but does it seem very likely? Yes. Simply put it doesn't ruin EVE's 'current' economy, it just prevents EVE players from taking the next step without Dust players, which is a reasonable step to take. |

You're forgetting something. It's not like fancy stuff is impossible to kill. And when you kill it, you get more ISK at the end of the match because what you killed was worth much more ISK. So, by killing spacerich people you can become spacerich yourself. This is how it sort of balances itself out. |

I'm not sure at what point it was implied that Dust mercs would be on an even footing with Eve pilots...... isnt the whole point that we are mercs,,, and in situations like that would be relying on the Eve pilots to fund the wars (since we are fighting for them)??
this, however, doesnt excuse blatant exploitation of a flawed game mechanic to get an edge on others in a Beta (and so close to the first tournament)....
if you didnt know it was cheating, that doesnt make it not cheating.... this situation is exactly what the exploit caveat is there to cover....
when eve to dust transfers are brought in...... it will first of all be from 'real' bank accounts as opposed to mirrors on SiSi,,,,,, it will also be taxed (at a rate to be determined by ccp) which, while not negating the benefit given by a transfer..... will make it a considerable thing to do, so wont be the free for all we have seen recently...
Anyway, relax its a beta where these things are meant to be figured out. Balanced economy of Precursor is now puppy'd, so what?? Stuff will be reset in a few weeks as if it had never happened and they'll learn for next time...... For now they should just let everyone buy whatever they want,,,, and use it as an opportunity to test the higher mechanics of the game (which under normal circumstances wouldnt have been seen for months) |

its ok to cheat, because if you kill me you can benefit too.....
this actually is market distortion and multiplies the dirty money in the economy (since that amount of isk shouldnt have been earnt)...... what starts as billions of illicit isk becomes trillions etc..... |

If you ask me, this ISK exploit needs to get sorted quickly. People who are against exploits and cheating are currently at a massive disadvantage to those who look for handouts and who receive ridiculous amounts of ISK.
Let us not forget this is still a beta, and this will no doubt get fixed. It's just something that shouldnt have arisen due to the fact that Corp vs Corp matches are beginning. |

You misunderstand me.
I wasn't talking about the current situation. I was speaking in general. The OP made a point that once everyone becomes spacerich than anyone without eve connections will have no chance. Eventually they are going to open the ISK floodgates on tranquility, and all the high end gear spam we are seeing now will happen again. I was attempting to reassure that that it will not be the case. |

I also think there is more to come in terms of the market, especially when you ask yourself, "Whats the point of Salvage", to sell it (Guess), it just hasn't been implemented yet, this will enable you to sustain better drop suit and weapons from the equipment you dont need.
I have about 2Mil ISK less than a quarter of what I had in the previous build , I still run with militia equipment but not on a militia suit.

I think the main problem with this is not being able to compete with EVE funded player/Corps, I can only see one way to dealing with the Situation increase the amount of ISK per match, that way non-funded players will be able to compete again.
Before the update ISK was not a problem i could earn ISK and stay in the game now like Heavenly Daughter i have a Type-2 with militia equipment. |

Why is no one understanding this: ISK Doesn't Matter If I gave my EVE alt a billion ISK when I first started her, I wouldn't have had anything to spend it on but frigates. Limitless wealth does nothing unless you have the skillpoints to use something worth the money. Right now, it just lets people use lots of militia gear, of which only Dropships are a real threat due to the Swarm Launchers not working properly.
Are you really that worried about someone having unlimited Type-I suits with Militia gear?

All I have to say is Im a customer. Will spend alot more money on AUR probably in amounts comparative to your subscription fee wich you are no doubt finding some way to buy PLEX with.So you being an EVE player really has no consequence at all.Your money is no greener than mine.
#213 Posted: 2012.10.22 21:24 | Report 1 I think what totally pisses me off about this whole issue is all the EVE players wanted nerfs to all AUR bought items in this game so that you could flood your own alts with readily available and easily attainable ISK from EVE.
and dont try to act slick..........HELMAR said in an interview that your pilot would not be able to go planet side. But tell me if you can simply transfer ISK from one alt to the other so you can buy infinite tanks and VK.0s and **** the DUST console player right? Then you the "operator" benefit the most.
I see how it is.....I would buy a 20 dollar AUR pack every 2 weeks for equal footing in THIS theater "planet side" and dominate here on the ground.A defacto subscription if you would. But you guys dont want that .OH NO.Cant have that. That would be to expensive to do both,so not being happy with that scenario you plot and congeal for nerfs to the AUR items in DUST all the while plotting to flood your alt with ISK....I mean some of you dont even have the originality and blatantly use the same gamer tag.
Same operator.Same tag.Same corp.Same cash................you're going planet side.Total bullshit. Give me the ability to board your ship and Ill melee/ bust your augmented skull through your console. You guys really wont be happy till you exploit the game to death.CCP is trying to break new ground and get new people into the EVE universe.I mean god forbid they make a game that might rival Halo or Cod,an with that capital make this WHOLE intire universe into a HUGE gaming community.Benefiting both DUST and EVE and you idiots want to wreck/kill it in the BETA stage.

Again, a few months down the line after this game goes live, they're going to start removing the market and transfer restrictions. What you have to realize is that won't be anything like what happened here, because of one simple fact:
Singularity ISK doesn't mean anything.
My Corp members and I got our ISK buying Freighters for 100 ISK (the price of all items in seeded markets) and nuked them with Sieged Dreadnoughts for the full basic insurance payout. We did this for hours and just sent the ISK to our Dust characters.
On Tranquility, the market is everything. Almost anything you can buy in EVE is made and sold by another player, and ISK has the same value in-game as USD or Euros. No one is going to put a billion ISK on a bunch of Dust characters for no reason, maybe not even if it was their own character, because that could potentially screw them over in EVE.
This game is going to become the biggest ISK sink in EVE for several months as we all learn how to work together, and as much as you'll probably see a Dust character with uncountable billions to spend on Prototype gear, I said something to this effect in an earlier post:
The ones with the money are not the PvPers.
When you see those people, gun for them. I guarantee they'll be easy SP and ISK because the people with that kind of money to throw onto a Dust character are going to be the ones that mine and build ships in hi-sec because they're too scared to leave the protective umbrella of CONCORD.
And did you seriously just imply that you were going to just make an EVE character and that would give you that level of ISK? This isn't a game full of billionaires, and you'll only showing your ignorance by thinking you'd get anywhere in our world with and attitude like that. You want that kind of ISK? Show the people contracting you that you deserve it. |

Ok check this out ass hat.Heres some raw statistical values that maybe you can rap your pee brain around.I convinced 4 of my friends to DL and try this game.Im the only one still playing it.Thats 1 in 5.Twenty percent of the people I know that have tried this game continued to play it.The other 75% were potential CCP customers now they are not.The learning curve is high enough. The bugs are bad enough. When the 5 point maps frame rate drops thru the floor and that makes them wreck there dropship. You know the same one it took him forever to afford.Oh wait no you probably dont understand that one.Without people finding ways to make it even more difficult for new players to get into this game.
You say its BETA .....fraking beta to be exact. They the 75 % dont fking care if its BETA or not and sure as hell wouldnt even care to come to these forums to argue with you about it.......what dont you get. When they go 2 times negative after playing in a match with 6 tanks.Yeah there gonna keep playing a game like that. You got it buddy. This game isnt just about the EVE player its about EXPANDING THE F8CKING PLAYER BASE.YOU KNOW POPULATING THE GAME.
In the 1980's the White House Office of Consumer Affairs commissioned a report called the TARP study. The report revealed the following facts about unhappy customers: * 96% of dissatisfied customers do not complain directly. * 90% will not return. * One unhappy customer will tell nine others. * 13% will tell at least 20 other people"
What does that mean to you? You, by doing stupid ****, are effecting CCP's potential customer base.So ask yourself. Are you helping to expand the community ,or do you not even give a F8ck.Like New Eden is exclusive to you. |

I know a bunch of people I still play Tribes: Ascend with that left en masse back in the early days of the beta because it just wasn't fun, and they came back when it released and they found that the changes made during the testing improved it. Not everyone wants to test a game. Many people just want a finished product to have fun with, and that isn't bad or anything.
What I'm saying is that the ability for a Dust player to have ISK given to them for free seems bad in the context of this server where on the EVE side this ISK doesn't mean anything. ISK has a value on Tranquility, and you aren't going to see Dust characters magically swimming in ISK because of that fact.
What I'm saying is that you are going to have the same opportunity to be rich that any of the rest of us in this game will, because EVE players will be contracting the people who get **** done. Can you get **** done? If so, you're more likely to be the one with all the money that someone with a rich EVE character.
The learning curve is pretty high, and they put in some more tutorial functions and an introductory video in this build to help combat that fact. Also, most players that succeed in EVE join player corporations that train them in all they need to know to succeed. Hell, my Corp is dedicated to training new members, as that's the lifeblood of any military organization whether corporate or national.
There aren't any plots by any of us to turn this game into something we can use to farm people. If you look at the EVE forums, they only people plotting were the stupid ones, and their plans mostly ended up at "nuke them from orbit", which we already know is impossible. Besides, have you forgotten that CCP has already confirmed that Open Market means all AURUM items can be resold for ISK? If anything, you'll be more likely to see EVE players using that as a means to make ISK from Dust, while letting Dust players not have to buy AURUM to get different equipment. Just step back and think reasonably, and you'll see it. |

That would be disastrous to anyone without an EVE account, which will likely be over 80% of the people who play this game. And if that happens, most of them will leave and then Dust will just be a game for EVE players who also happen to have a PS3. |

They have the "skill" to actually use it properly If those two factors are absent, all you have to worry about is having enough ammo to harvest them all for SP and ISK, because that's the only use they'll serve. |

We will first of all give access to a very solid Corporate Wallet, pretty much pouring ISK into your accounts to stay ahead of the curve and be the best that you can be.
Thats a sign on bonus. How am I going to compete with that. You also are forgetting that you saying that SISI ISK has 0 value means nothing to a noob who has no idea what your talking about.Well say some guy coming from BF3.What you just said means absolutely nothing to him. What he does see is match after match a negative kdr.You also knew Full well that winning the tournament will give you a rare Item/drop. I believe its a Lav of sorts.I havent looked if they canceled the tournament because of what some corps were transferring and therefore have stockpiles of equipment or if they wiped them and its still on.You guys new full well what you were doing you were looking for an advantage. One that you would benefit from.If one person from CCP had to work on correcting this crap you are wasting CCPs human resource that would be better served finishing the game. |

Wallets for both Corps and players have already been reset to their pre-integration values, so that's a moot point. I imagine the people with 1000 items will be getting their assets set lower as well to prevent database lag. As well, EVE players are restricted from Singularity, and they aren't going to let us back in until the loophole is plugged, so this will never be an issue again.
The point I was making is that Beta testing isn't for everyone. |

They shoot one down, hey look I still have millions of ISK to buy a nice stock of them! Not to mention front line fighters aren't the only ones who would do it, logistics players get most of their SP from hives, droplinks, revives and hacking. Now, do you really think that makes no difference? |

I left those behind the first moment I could. At the point where something dies to a single soldier with a militia swarm launcher, its worthless garbage.
And again, you can't fast-forward jack with ISK even if you buy every skillbook there is, which you easily can. The SP gain will remain the same, and the only way to change that is with boosts, which are currently AURUM items, and we aren't entirely sure if you'll be able to resell those for ISK. Anyway you try to present this, you still have just as much of a chance of coming out as the winner.

You can still only buy militia vehicles without training the skills for them, and someone with the skills to use non-militia gear will take you down every time. Having seemingly limitless assets won't change anything when you're losing them so rapidly that EVE becomes your only means of funding because no one in their right mind will want you in their Corp. So you bankrupt your EVE character to spam ****** gear on your Dust character? Like I said before, anyone stupid enough to fit that description is just more income for you. |

Yes, you can only use militia vehicles. But if you have the money, then only getting one or 2 kills per launch isn't that big an issue. You could kamakaze it into a populated area and bail out, then just call in a new one.
Also, your point still ignores the ability to skill up playing as a logistics character. I play as logistics, and only usually get one or two kills a game because I keep myself busy repairing and reviving, setting up droplinks and nanohives, sometimes using installations for a few extra kills, and I end up in the top 3 most matchs, almost always in the top 5. SP isn't THAT hard to get if you know how to get it. If I had all the ISK I needed, I could easily soar through a large part of this game with almost no issues since I'm always defended by my squad since they rely on me for repairs and revives. |

Fannar explained that soldiers could outright rule over an entire planet, cutting off another corporation's much-needed resources for survival. More important than this, though, is the crossover consequences. EVE players can attack planets from orbit, and Dust players can retaliate in real-time. Console gamers, in a move CCP suspects will be popular with the griefing-obsessed FPS crowd, can also destroy resources EVE players need to harvest. From here, a number of things could happen: those soldiers can move on with their paycheck, pave the way for a hiring EVE corporation to take the territory, or claim an area for themselves.

all i have to say is deal with it, that's the point.
+1 as an eve player who pays subscriptions my isk should not be any different. AUR is just a different way to look at subscriptions. Some of my idiotic counter parts confuse this part. AUR in eve is purely for vanity and clothing lines. In dust its a lot different and shouldn't be toyed with. So what if you have a billion isk. I can put in for a $19.99 merc pack and use my side grade.

Because most of YOU complained about AUR bought items in Dust and cried for nerfs. Why cuz you were already planning on doing this..........flooding your alt with the best ISK gear so you dont have to pay duel subscription.Pown everyone on console. Why would you want to have a console player be able to go to the market and instantly buy himself AUR and in that very same match Call in his Sigarus and work your ISK tank .You do a simple transfer of 30 million and buy 50 more. What happened to the CASCADE or the STORM SIDE RODEN .You guys wanted it gone because it wasnt and ISK gun.Because you planeed on doing this all along. You think your so ingenious.......When they announced this game 3 years ago I almost created an EVE account that day for this very purpose. You just dont want DUST players to control there own game. That chaps your ass. Holy **** guys, the tinfoil hat is STRONG with this one. * 13% will tell at least 20 other people" What does that mean to you? You, by doing stupid ****, are effecting CCP's potential customer base.So ask yourself. Are you helping to expand the community ,or do you not even give a F8ck.Like New Eden is exclusive to you.
The game is supposed to be hard. The longer i stay I know i'm surviving. If i'm 1 in 10 players staying then another person in my category is the one i have to beat. New Eden plainly put. AUR shouldn't be messed with too much as it is an alternative subscription for the console players. I totally understand and agree to this. And drama is actually what grows New eden. things that happen here don't really happen anywhere else. |
