Apparently the devs at the recent London show were saying this is it, by and large, it's just tweaks here on in. This is third hand info, from a work mate who went was chatting to the guys there about it. Apparently we will be given a release code and that will be it. Given the next wipe comes when we move to tranquility, we are playing the final product, in so far as it can be termed final.
He did say though that the version open for test visually looked so much better. He asked if it was running on pc or ps3. The question & answer may have been lost in translation, but he was told "this will be ps3". Don't forget the Russians were playing this build, so it's safe to assume, that despite its faults, this is most likley it.
Personally I think it's a great idea, I have enjoyed the beta, but I find I play less and less now, I never found hit detection a problem, (only with snipers and that's terrain related) I pulsed the AR. Now the stream of bullets is so tight that there is no additional skill needed other than to keep on target. The game was at it peak two patches ago, when we got the new gameplay and map, the only good addition by last patch was the eradication of the drop ship tower bombardment.
CCP is unlikely to fix issues with missile turrets, they seem to really like missiles. And with the taming of the standard AR, there seems no need for burst or breach anymore, I can spray fire from the hip now and hit guys. The game has moved forward but rather than enticing me to play more, I play less. I won't delete it and will stil play it on release, but that's just because it's f2p and I have arum in game already and I may have eve reasons in the future.
Thanks for letting me have beta access ccp, it was and still is fun, but its going down a more simplified path for reasons i fully understand. Contrary to most posts, you have listened to most stuff on the forums, some of it did improve the game, but I think an awful lot more took away the promise.
PS can the MAG whiners turn it off? I have put up with your negative non conrtuctive posts for the last 5-6 months. Your beloved is a zombie, this game is not MAG, go take your negative vibes and play with the corpse you love. Or start putting constructive stuff on here like you once did. |
