So I absolutely love the diversity of weapon selection. There's explosive choices, long-range choices, close combat sidearms, and everything in between. The problem is, I feel that I prefer some weapons over another just because of how much easier it is to do damage with them.
My point is, the mass driver doesn't seem powerful enough. It is my favorite weapon so far and I enjoy everything it has to offer except one thing...it doesn't seem to do as much damage as it says, or maybe it's just because everyone has huge shields and explosions are weak vs shields? Not to mention it only has 16 shots, which means enough ammo to kill about two people before you have to find more. The only real way to get kills with it is by stealing other's kills, which is unfair.
Now let's go to the assault rifle. I prefer the tactical version, but even then it seems like the regular one has a huge range potential. Not all ARs should be this accurate, that's why there is a tactical one in the first place. Not only that, but I can usually kill a person using a militia AR with less than a full clip of bullets and still have plenty of ammo to run around and find a couple more guys. This isn't anywhere close to the same with the mass driver.
Whatever the pistol is called, I love it. It seems like the most powerful weapon in the game if you can get close enough to use it.
The sniper, pretty awesome considering you can oneshot most infantry with the charge variant. The only problem with it is being able to hit practically anyone on the map if you can see them.
Submachine gun is perfect the way it is especially with the ability to burst fire for maximum accuracy. I feel that the AR needs to feel more like this with less accuracy but still high rate of fire.
Haven't messed around with laser rifles or nova knifes yet :/
Swarm launchers feel balanced now that they move slower, I would love a variant for some sort of rocket launcher instead of the one that locks on to two things at once.
Forge guns are still awesome. I'm glad they are specifically anti-vehicle and not really a weapon for infantry.
Heavy Machine Guns are freaking beast. I haven't had a change to use them much, but whenever I see a heavy with one I run away. Their range is much better and I'm glad they are much more powerful.
TLDR: Mass drivers need some more kick. They should have either more power or more ammo. Regular Assault rifles are way too accurate, and need to function a bit more like SMGs. Assault rifles also feel like that gun you use just because it's easy to make kills with. I like most of the other weapons and feel they are balanced. |

I love Firing these things into crowds of Red dots. 1v1 your better off puling put your side arm (which I may add, should not be taken lightly). The mass driver is all about force multiplying. Dose the MD need more stoping power? Maybe, but there are skills and Mods for that and the Devs have all the time that they need to buff and nerf them as needed.
As for Ar's, they are not the endall weapon. there just well rounded. making them more like SMG's would just detract from SMG's... |

O really now? Well the best game I have ever had was with a assault rifle, and I did like 45/7 with it. And that was the militia version. |

And what? no grenades? none of the red dots where painted by a sniper, or pined in a choke point by a HMG or scatter by a mass driver? and dont even get me started on AV. Every type and sub-type of weapon has it's own wheel house where it excels. your 6.4 K/D tells me more about your wit than your choice in armament. |

I'm just saying that ARs need less accuracy because that's what an AR is. It's good at medium range, and gets less accurate as you fire it.
In the original halo, it suggests that you fire the AR in bursts to increase accuracy. Right now, you can fire the AR scoped for as long as you want and still maintain a very accurate shot. |

If you like scrambler pistols, you'll love combining them with laser rifles.
Laser rifles (if used at the proper range) can strip the shields off of someone in no time once they heat up. very conveniently, scrambler pistols fill the range gap that laser rifles have- if something is too close for a laser rifle, it's a great range for the scrambler pistol.
Seems to me that the Amaar light/sidearm weapon combination works the best, while the minmatar one is pretty fun. |

AR > SMG at the moment - post and proof on it are already out. The SMG has lost it's power this build as the AR does more DPS at the same range. However, if your main weapon is not an AR the SMG is a nice backup.
The feedback and thus loss of accuracy on AR's does need to be realized, there are oh so many posts on it already.
MD's, I feel, need an uptick in the shot per clip count. They already shortened the refire time, but that is not yet enough to make it where I would like to see it. I'm not wanting a 1v1 weapon, but a better denial and finisher weapon.
