Seriously? I was considering joining, but there's no way I'll throw my lot in with a corporation of people I don't know who might, through no action of my own, get both my DUST and EVE accounts banned.
I would never cheat myself, but this punishment can apply to me in cases where I do not cheat and have no knowledge of cheating.
Any chance this punishment could be changed to be fair and reasonable? |

And another case: let's suppose I was on a team and learn of cheating. Should I report it and risk getting my dust and eve accounts banned, or be quiet and hope they get away with it so I don't get banned? |

Nevertheless, the risk is not worth it for the lack of certainty without any promise from CCP. My EVE accounts are each worth FAR more than the best rewards in this tournament.

I don't play games just to win. I play for the fun of the battle too. In fact, a game where my team wins by a huge margin is usually much less enjoyable than a close game that I lose.
But with the severity of the punishment for actions I had no part in, there is simply no point in joining. |

I don't. It essentially means I won't even consider playing in the tournament.
Quote:if it came down to it and "1guy" got all you banned i assume its able to be petitioned.
Who knows? Maybe it is petitionable. But the rule as written gives no indication, and I'm not going to risk something of far greater for a very unlikely chance of something of much lesser value. |
