Try playing a heavy to understand what good gun game is. Many of you have it but the dancers don't equal''I got good gun game." The hit detection is still off so dancing gives quite an edge so real shooters don't need dancing. |

Another thread about this...
Evading the enemy getting a good aim on you (strafing) is a skill, just like being able to maintain your aim on a moving target is a skill. Making effective use of cover is also a skill to evade enemy aim.
I don't see why one of these skills should be seen as illegitimate, not everyone needs to be weighed down by the same speed limitations as you. |

I am never sure when some of these ppl are serious or not. Sitting still and pumping rounds at an enemy does not equal a good gun game. Thats called relying on your suit and weapon selection to win. Strafing and movement takes a lot of skill to do correctly and ppl who say otherwise are usually horrible at this. |

Let's be clear what I'm saying is the receiving end of good shooters. The dancers when they attack are trying to use the broken game mechanics to their advantage. Where as great shooters like the zitros can pick you off like magic S..t with excellent gun game.
Straifing at lower speeds takes more skill, than simply wiggly the stick back and forth. |

Minor correction
Jumping and dancing to evade your enemy while maintaining your aim on said enemy = good gun game.

Sorry, it just does. Any scrub can dance around in a scout suit. It takes skill and finesse to keep the sight on the enemy perfectly while dancing. Most people that hate us dancers can't seem to understand this. They think we do it because we have no gun game when its actually quite the opposite.
It doesn't take nearly as much skill to hold R1 with an HMG. I played HMG+heavy in replication when strafing was at its highest. It was EZ mode. Someone had to really outsmart me if they wanted to kill me in that fat suit. |

I can'y believe you heavies are still complaining. Move speed got reduced and hit detection got fixed... somewhat. In almost every 1v1 encounter a heavy will win most of the time. Its a joke, and now you want people to stop strafing because its are only defense. I'm pretty sure if I ran heavy I would be unstoppable because half you heavies can't aim
Hmmmmmm
is it hit dection or maybe bad aim hmmmmmmmm |

I dance in games with good hit detection too. It requires more skill than normal because you have aim while doing the foxtrot.

I agree that dancing is not a valid tactic, but don't try to tell me that walking forwards whilst holding down the trigger to spray and pray your HMG everywhere DOES take skill. |

This. This. This. This. This. This.
While i agree when hit detection was bad it was annoying, and did inflate peoples scores (particularly for scouts as it wasnt an even playing field, scout HD was horrid), the same excuse cant be used. Maybe hit detection isnt perfect, but its not bad enough that you can counter this in to giving someone a significant edge. |

I suck at the spray and pray, and part of the skill is knowing when to back off. I've run across HDTT multiple times and every time it's looked like I might kill him he puts his ego aside and grabs cover. I think I might have gotten him once, maybe, with an LAV. |

someone is mad
I'll dance with you all day if I have to, if I get in a tight jam and my shields are dropping before I can sight my enemy I'm doing the tango. This involves me going back forth back forth while trying to slowly spin and put my cross hairs acrosss said enemies chest and hope I can finish him off before he finishes what he started. Alot of times this works, and it is SKILL.. sometimes it doesnt work, why.. because that guy had skill... if you shoot me in my back or from my side i'm going to try all means necessary to survive, so if you can't keep your aim on me when I am actually shooting back and killing you.. oh well HTFU |
