I like these, but I still think there should be a way to oust inactive squad leaders from power, though there should be a warning, a timer, and time for the squad leader to start setting commands to keep his position.

How about if someone requests the SL position, and the current leader doesn't address the request (just need to open chat menu and switch into squad chat, then back to team if they want to operate there), they get a 30-second "handing over command" notification in which to do so.
