Rename assault rifle to plasma rifle and rename sniper rifle to railgun rifle. Their names are too vague and seem like catagories instead of the gun type. |

The names are more for the roles of the gun rather than how they operate. They have the actual physical firing method such as railgun, coilgun, autocannon in the description. But the actual name is for roles. Such as sniping, assault, etc. |

Seems odd that some guns are named by roles, yet others are not: like laser rifles, the upcoming scrambler rifle, scrambler pistol, mass driver, etc are not. Its inconsistent.
I really don't know why they don't name the sniper rifles sniper rifles railguns, or assault rifles plasma rifles. |

Would your prefer the 'death-lance of Amarr" or "the Vengence HMG of awesomeness" I guess I'm missing the meaning of your post.
Perhaps they named them after their roles to help the less thoughtful Players quickly relate to what hey have liked in other games in the past?
I agree that they should rename them to their type. Race and special varients should always have special names OS = finger of God. But I also wonder if terms like "sniper" would have gone away in New Edens vocabulary. If those terms had stayed around then the weapon classification would likely have stuck around as well, regardless of it being a Gauss cannon, rail-gun, or plasma launcher. |

I think I get what you're saying; name guns as if they were real gun, not generic "Breach Assault Rifle". Maybe instead.... K4000 Breach Rifle |

In reality, guns are named off a person's name who designed it or company and have some number at the end that represents something else like the year it was made. That's really what I'm saying.
I what I'm saying is like changing "Breach Assault Rifle" to "Breach Plasma Rifle". |

When the gauss and scrambler rifle comes, there'll be 4 guns that fit the "assault" role: Plasma, Scrambler, Laser, and Gauss rifle. When those other guns come in they'll need to take up space in the store. Grouping roles/types of weapons like how the 3 grenades are categorized is a logical thing to do. Not changing the "Assault Rifle" and "Sniper Rifle" name doesn't make much sense and adds inconsistencies of this game. |

I think "Rail Rifle" sounds better than "Railgun Rifle" personally.
But +1 because they're diversifying the weapons within the AR role already, and it doesn't make sense to not do so for Snipers as well. |

Once the racial variants for weapons are in I don't imagine they'll all be plasma rifles or railguns. They showed some Caldari assault rifle concept art off a while ago, and it was a gauss rifle from what I recall. Still under the assault rifle category, though. |

From what I understood, that was a militia,and it had 60 rounds, so I think it would be called the LMG. |
