I'm not sure how to call it but I'll call it the "war room". It's that room you are put before the match begin with the large scoreboard and that huge table. I think that was suppose to be a map of the area you are gonna be deployed but at least atm it does not show anything useful. Add a map representation of the area you are gonna attack so you can see where you are gonna fight. Also that would be helpful for Corp Battles since there you have couple of minutes before the match start to plan your strategy. |

Or at least some way of knowing which map it is that you'll be playing. A 3D model of the map would be amazing and I love the idea, but at the very least tell us what the map is. |

I dig the idea and I'm willing to bet that CCP has a similar plan for that map in the future. It could be a really cool asset to have before a match.

Well, after all devs said it themselfs on the fanfest many times, that this will be the lobby before match where you can plan and discuss strategy before the actual map of the battlefield on the table. Its nothing new really, but for now the holo of the map is really useless |

I always assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that it was supposed to do just that (but wasn't yet in). Additionally, it should be interactive, wherein the team leader could mark the map in various ways showing where he might want each squad, to where fall back points would be, and so on. Great suggestion as my assumption is dangerous. |

Picturing a full team of mercs, along with a handful of Eve pilots, all cowered over this table in the 10 minutes before a match begins.
Team Captain succinctly laying out the squad tactics, little holographic squad markers appearing and moving as he talks over comms... Squad orders are placed on the table before the match begins, appearing automatically in-game the moment you spawn. |
