The missile turrets are too accurate. It should not be advantageous to have LAV at the top of the map firing off infinite super accurate missiles. Yes they take time to get to where they are going, but they can still take out any weapons installations from across the map, when the weapons installations don't even have a chance to counter. I don't have a problem with the damage or distance, but the shots should have some spread to them. (the spread doesn't need to be too much, just enough to make a bull's eye on a immobile suit from across the map a 1/3 shot)
hopefully this will reduce the amount of LAV's that end up on the top of buildings and mountains acting as cheap turret installations. |

I'm not a fan of the LAVs starting with a Missile Turret by default. To be honest I think the turret could do with being sped up a little bit and getting swapped out to a Blaster (Slow-Machine Gun) Turret.
Same goes for the one on the HAV as well. I know you can change these if you have them but just seems weird the default one doesn't have something that is less-powerful with no splash damage.
Something I would suggest would be for "Vehicle Drops" to require an area (say 5m Circle) of open 'flat' ground to be able to drop them in. This wouldn't prevent them from being dropped anywhere, but would stop them being capable of being called in on-top of buildings or mountains where they can't naturally get to. |

Missile turrets are fine imo. Unlimited ammo for vehicles is not. Require vehicles to have to worry about ammo and remove the free LAVs and we're good. |

True, I have actually been wondering why Vehicles have unlimited ammo while Marine weaponry doesn't. This said you know how the Missile Warthog is in Halo: Reach (cause c'mon that is all the LAV is) ... that imo is how the LAV Missile Turret should be. Like a quick rocket volley that has to reload.
But still think it should use a Machine-Gun variation as the default weapon. |

Ammo refill on vehicles is a nuisance though .. I'd prefer to have a an ammo capacitor on vehicles AND installations. |

Seems there are two problems...
1) Someone's upset that there's something that can outrange the fixed installations. Right now, that's mostly what these LAV's can do that little else can. Assuming someone wants this fixed, they better present a good alternative other than 'railgun tanks'.
2) I can totally see having a limited amount of ammo on vehicles. But, again, there needs to be a solution other than "Supply Depots". Whether it be allowing them to reload from other fixed installation or calling down ammo crates or even just using "Vehicle Nanohives".
As it is, rockets as default on the LAV is just for the Onikuma. The Baloch is stuck with a Blaster. It doesn't matter all that much anyway since the basic rocket launcher is so cheap, and so are the upgrades. As suppsoedly 'accurate' as the basic one is, it isn't, really, and it's small splash makes it a pain to use. The "Fragmentation" variety, though? That stuff's real good. |

I wouldn't say I'm upset. I think it's cheap. That doesn't stop me from going ontop of the highest building, calling in a LAV, then blasting away every enemy installation on the map. But, just because I abuse a situation doesn't mean I don't believe it should be fixed. Also, there are other things that can do it, e.g the forge gun. That at least requires skill investment and it is not free. (I'd still like to see the forge gun as less accurate from across the screen as well, but lest I digress)
Installations are supposed to be rather entrenched positions. I simply feel that in the current set up, they can be destroyed too easily from outside their range via LAV's missile turret. |

I wish people would stop messing with stuff that is fine. Blaster LAVs suck and no one wants them. The free LAVs are great and I think they are very important to the feel of the game. Being able to call down a fast ride for free is something that needs to stay. No, I do not want to have to worry about ammo when im in a vehicle. Thats anti fun. If anything is going to be changed with the missile turrets, it should be the fact that the blast radius sucks. Too many times have infantry simply been left unharmed after a missile lands at their feet. |
