I wonder if boosting will be a main event when e-sports is launched?
I can see it now, a heated battle as two teams of booster face a ferrous struggle to gain the upper hand all the while hidden in the back of there base for shame the camera might see how ridiculously low the art of war has fallen in the booster community.

Quit being such a kittening kitten.
True Logi run around with a nanite injector to revive downed teammates, drop uplinks to establish good spawn locations, and nanohives to keep guns firing.
Want to get points for repairs? Then suggest a solution that doesn't bring back SP farming.
I'll contribute:

I'm a true logi, I do all of that IN ADDITION TO using the repair tool on suits and vehicles.
I did proposed a solution. Learn to read. All logi equipment is just as exploitable as repair. I could drop a ton of nano hives and have the squad unload all of their weapons and get more ammo off of them. |

So instead of bumping uglies and repping back to pristine condition in the back corner they do it in the middle of the road? Not really a solution...and not phrased as a solution so much as an inquiry. "Why don't they just (idea)?"
They might...but they're taking a look at everything to find a way to do it without bringing back SP farming. The "no SP when redlining" part is already listed in the feedback section & it has its own hole. |

Dear me, why do most posts end up in a kitten fight? Yes the repair tool is a crucial part of the logi kit and yes it is the cause of sp farming but instead of arguing about it, why not try and come up with a viable solution together?? Remember its up against the farmers and there's nothing wrong with healthy debate =) |

And this is why we can't have nice things.
It is also why I've suggested detection and punishment rather than prevention.
Any attempt to completely prevent farming will inevitably hurt some legitimate game play. First nerf the rep tool and next the farmers start abusing nano hives (which incidentally they have been doing for some time). It will always be an arms race with honest players the losers.
Identify farming after the fact and strip offenders ten times the amount they farmed. Keep game logs and use them for audits if new methods are observed and reported. That way farmers can never be sure they are getting away with cheating. |

Stop being butthurt over boosters, none of the boosting matters at this point as everything will be wiped upon release.
CCP MIGHT want to think about taking some soft action, however. Perhaps a sight roll back on boosters, but there probably hasn't been any proper monitoring going on at this stage to do something like that fairly.
Other than that stop being butthurt over people playing the game with the rules they were handed. Many of the complainers about boosting are some of the very same people I saw camping towers with dropships in the E3 build.
It's still beta, don't go looking for any disciplinary action on exploiters. |

This is my hope as well, fingers crossed for this. (It would be nice if CCP would simply state that it's a temp fix )
To date we have a Skill Point Cap which is a temp fix (in part for farming) An anti-grind system effecting Skill Point gain (in part for farming) Repair Tool giving zero War Points (directly for farming) Squad Order rewards (was used a lot by farmers but motive may be something else as well) Nano Hives getting a nerf (not a clue on this one, but I hope the change comes with a fix to them not repairing armor)
All if this hurts Legit LogiBros (and other players as well) and frankly while it all hinders farming it hasn't stopped it. Just wait next will be teams of farmers with Nano Injectors jumping of buildings in the red zone and reviving each other. Or pancaking out of the MCC and reviving each other.
If we're taking War Point gain completely away from something why not take them away from the red zone? Safe WP/SP farming is then over (as long as they don't go under the map :P ).
Remove the safe redzone completely and use the MCC and "random spawn" as the entry points for maps.
There's also the option (from the suggestion forum) of flagging those who are farming as 'criminal' thus allowing the use of Friendly Fire against them.
Fine tune the impact damage so that it's low enough to make farming less worth while. (or if that doesn't work remove WP gain for repairing crash damage, that's still not a great fix but it improves on the current iteration)
Iterate on the Repair Tool system so that its rewards scale properly with the skills and ISK invested to use the device (much lower rewards for the milita thus limiting farming) You could even add an 'overheat' aspect (like the HAV/LAV guns) to the first level or two of Repair Tool Meta variants. (doesn't harm anyone spending heavy SP and ISK but makes farming much harder to accomplish.
Or add an in game reporting system (not an uncommon feature in an MMO) so that players using these exploits can be reported to CCP and dealt with accordingly.
There are quite a few options to improve on the current iteration. 0.02 ISK Cross |

I do not think this build is going to honestly last a whole month. I could very well be wrong, but considering just the amount of overwhelming problems, hiccups, and hangups this build has proven quite... Buggy. To say the least. I just do not find this build lasting a whole month to the next build. I think CCP will force us into the next a little faster this time around. Maybe. Do not qoute me on that. As I said it's just feeling. |

It's a temporary fix until the next patch to help resolve the issue of boosting. Ccp is working on a permanent solution on the next build. |

No points for reversing self-inflicted damage. That way jumping off buildings, friendly splash damage, grenades or ramming vehicles into the scenery won't provide any benefits. Of course this will suck for genuine accidents, but something has got to give. Punishing farmers afterwards would work as well. |

This is why.
It was just a quick hot fix. Changing around number values is fast and easy. I am sure they are coding an actual fix that is more complex and will need to be sent down in a full-on patch or build update. Be patient. It's only temporary.

I'm sure you noticed the longer loading time of the client when you logged in after the hotfix? They can't do anything major like what you suggested until the next build. Any major changes have to go through the full QA process with both them and Sony. |

Its a temp fix
But atm if you damage your armor LAV out in the field and rep it back up you get nothing for it, very few OB are about aswell now so tbh its better overall atm |
