They lowered the strafe speed, making circle-strafe dancing more difficult. oh i mean "gun game", sorry.

Why do you constantly assume that we are Halo or COD kiddie's?
1. Yeah I played Halo 1, 2 that was it am I looking for Dust to be like that? NO
2. You can't circle strafe in COD **** tard maybe you should play the game before you comment about it. I hate COD but at least I played it so that I can comment on it.
Slow speeds does not make a game more tactical I've already made a thread about this months ago. BF3 is considered tactical and is faster than Dust. MAG was tactical and was faster than Dust. Planetside 2 is faster than Dust but is tactical as well.
In before lolPlanetside @ the people who are so hard up for being competitive they would play a game with bad mechanics! |

I've been all types of infantry since the very first build in April and I feel like I went from tooling around in a Camaro to puttering around in a go-kart. Controls are about as responsive as a crane grabbing at stuffed animals. That first build where we played against the same 10 people over and over, bullets couldn't hit someone standing still right in front of you, and Nythanos, Player003, and Zhighestbid drove their tanks through the map like some sort of iron gods was much more fun.
We get all this HP to make gunfights longer only to be get one shot by cheap contact grenades, tanks, and orbital strikes. Where's the sense in that?
I might just be burnt out or this build might be a sign the game is headed in the wrong direction and catering to a different clientele than adrenaline junkies like myself. I want to have fun and this build 'aint cutting it. |

Yeah, but in the very first build the targeting on swarms was terrible, no one had heavy suits or forge guns, and sleek AV grenades were portable tactical nuclear weapons.
No one slew any dragons - ever. Z and player 003 would blow up all the installations and then joust one another in the open field until the match was over.

What's wrong with Dust 514, being Dust 514? Everybody seems to want to make it a clone of another FPS that is, in itself, just another clone of another FPS. When I saw the footage of Dust the first time in '09 I was like, finally something that is different. Now all these CoD, BF, and Halo freaks are trying to convert it into something CCP was trying to avoid. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hopefully they can swing it back in the general direction they intended. |

I loved the terrible targeting systems. You'd have to account for all of the buildings & structures then point in a weird angle to make sure that when tracking kicked in after you launched them they'd streak appropriately. I hope the minmitar variant swarm launcher brings back terrible tracking systems. |
