I always make it a point to find an out-of-the way place to lay drop uplinks in Ambush maps. When the game is over 15 minutes later it will have been used twice. Pubbies do not like uplinks. |

The only safe place for an uplink is in the middle of a blob. Better to equp a nanite injector, a repair gun, and a nanohive. |

depends on where it is placed, and how many of them are on the field.
imo, having a well-placed Uplink is much, much better than using the Default Spawn and spawning inbetween two enemies shooting at you before you can even move.
The #1 solution though, is to capture the CRU. but multiple well-placed Uplinks are a close 2nd. |

I've had the opposite experience.
I'm usually the only person on my team carring Uplinks, and when I drop one, I rack up the Team respawn points as they constantly use it.
then I go to another part of the map, and drop another one, switching the spawn point. that way we are not always spawning in the same place to be camped.
Once I am able to have two uplinks active at once, I'll really be in business. |

#1 solution = Wrong.
I love it when the enemy team has the CRU. I know exactly where they will be!! The CRU on ambush maps < well placed uplinks.

A little off topic but...
I don't play ambush much but I didn't think any ambush maps had CRUs. I thought most had one or two resupply points that you could capture.

some of the new ambush maps do have CRUs. And also Turret installations. |

Word.
I drop uplinks in the first minute of every match, Ambush and Skirmish. If you are playing a round and get killed immediately because your initial spawn dropped you 2 meters in front of and facing away from an enemy, you go to respawn and see a droplink? That's probably mine. Mine or Bosse Grahn's. We're two of a kind. |
