Man, this weapon has been drastically improved in Codex.
My grenades actually explode and I'm finding that the Mass Driver is now truly fun to use. Its suppresive fire qualities alone are a riot and it's many times a one shot kill on your enemy up close.
The more that I spec it up, the better it gets, unlike the earlier builds.
If any of you have given up on it from past experiences, give it another shot this time around and try blasting some suckas! |

to be fair it was actually a really good weapon before codex too, people just didnt know how to use it properly :P |

Or the gun didn't know how to make itself shoot projectiles that do its job and explode. |

I hate it now . . . as a guy on the receiving end anyway. Definitely better. Everything with explosions got better because the explosions actually happen, are visible, and audible. Planning to revisit my scout and give him one of these. |

I died to Mass Drivers ONCE in Precursor.
Even then it was due more to a panicked moment of "What is he shooting at me? Wait, is that a MASS DRIVER? lol! *DIES*"
Been killed by them about 3 times in the past week in Codex, and had them force me to drive away with my LAV twice.
Definitely seeing more use.
Now, if only Heavy Armor skill didn't cost 700,000 ISK in a version where you get 50,000-80,000 ISK tops, I'd be more inclined to try it out! |

4447 doesn't run from mass drivers they run from him.

i used a mass driver last build almost exclusively in the last game, they are good. |
