I would like to see an LMG. Somewhere in between an assault rifle and HMG in terms of strength and DPS. I imagine that to use it effectively you would have to be crouching to help stabilize the large amount of recoil.
I can definitely see my Logi using one of these (after I replenish everyones armor and ammo, of course). |

I would like one as well, but not some generic FPS one. Something with a firing animation electricity for example.

Agreed. Not to mention the whole building damage bit. I'd rather need a number of shots to kill an enemy rather than have to keep a beam trained on an enemy. |

The current HMG is a light machine gun - They only call it a heavy machine gun since only heavies can carry it - to be a true Heavy Machine Gun it would need to do the same level of damage as an Assault Rifle, have the same heat curve or lower than an Assault Rifle, fire at least twice as fast and have more ammo available. of the four criteria only 2 have been reached - the speed of fire and amount of ammo. the other two need to be addressed before it can be a true HMG.   |

I Agree somewhat on the damage for the HMG being a bit low. But, the HMG in Dust is basically a minigun. Which fires regular bullets. Which do generate a lot of heat, especially at the ROF of the HMG.
I don't really think there needs to be per say light MG's. Though I wouldn't mind seeing something like a more compact version of an MG using something equal to the .50bmg round. Real world, even armored humans are cut in half by that bullet, due to the 10,000-15,000 ft/lbs of kinetic force it delivers. |

There are variants of assault rifles and HMGs that have better/worse accuracy and better/worse rate of fire and other characteristics. Given that, I am seriously not seeing how a light machine gun would be worth it. It's a very, very small niche that such a weapon would occupy. Given that CCP had been talking a bit about weapon modification, I honestly think simply having an expanded assault rifle magazine would be basically enough to cover the LMG role. |

Honestly - unless they come out with a Repeating Neutron Blaster or something to over-shadow the HMG in terms of damage I'm sort of apprehensive to the idea.. Want to see more Hybrid weapons that actually reflect the Gallente means of warfare..
Up close, personal, high-damage output. Think of like - a gatling shotgun or something.

As far LMGs, sure. +1
Repeating neutron blaster sound like a awesome gallente heavy weapon.
I would like the HMG to get a buff to damage and have its other stats tweaked down to accomidate this before we get a LMG. |
