Uedama is renound as a freighter ganking area, even though it is high-sec, Niarja has is similar in this. The Goons most likely would have spent about 800mill killing it, but would you kill it for 22000 million isk? At the end of the day it's the freighter pilots fault for carrying that cargo. If he'd split it up he'd of not lost all of his stuff and he would have been a less shiny target, simples

In Eve online, a hulk use to cost about 500 million ISK when it was first introduced years ago. The price later fell to about 180 million ISK a couple of years later. But then Hulkageddon events emerged, became the norm, and the goons had control of technetium moons. Thus pushing the price of the hulk to about 300-500 million ISK. Economics determines the price. How many other MMOs do you see doing this?

Because of the Plex to isk link, we can assign real world value to the in game assets. The only reason Tax officers can not tx this is because the in game money can not legally be converted back to the real worlds.

In the grand scheme of kills that take place in EVE, a freighter gank is really quite rare. How many ships die a day? How many of them are freighters? 1%?
