Or lack thereof. This is way too little ISK. I went 18/10 one round, had the top warscore, and lost money. The ONLY item I had beyond BPO's (which cost nothing to restock) was a single tier 2 rifle that costs 20k. at 20k that cost me 200k. Lost ISK.
I go five deaths it costs me 100k. Many rounds recently I am getting 30 - 50k ISK. This is ridiculous. Actually fielding a fully decked out tier I would bankrupt me. Fielding one proto suit with all proto gear and dying once would take potentially dozens of matches. Love that ISK is something to be concerned over, but given how much can be made and how easily in EVE this is ridiculous and killing the game for me.
Tired of running around in militia gear. Too many good games coming out this past week and the next few weeks for me to play this as much as I'd like with ISK like this, all the invalid label issues AND the lag. Fix the ISK and I can suffer the rest.
Anyway, there's some feedback. Happy hunting.
Edit:
Oh, and fix the frikkin' mouse speed. I can't stand using the controller. |

Yeah I could see how CCP could need to boost the ISK gain per match... but maybe you could just be using freakishly expensive dropsuit fittings :O |

Actually, if you read the entire post you will see I mention what I have been using. One, singular, tier 2 weapon. At 20k a pop each death kinda hits hard. That is nada in the way of anything module that costs anything. If one tier 2 gun negates a round's ISK gain after 4 or 5 deaths that's pretty sad. Admittedly, I have gotten almost 200k once, so that could have been a little over 9 deaths before going in the red. Generally, on average it's more like 100k and of late, closer to 80k.
I'm not saying bring back last build's ISK harvest. I had too much ISK then. Now, I have none. Can't even afford skill books. The ONLY viable way to play is to spend a good chunk of your time farming ISK by playing in cheap, crappy gear (starter fits or all AUR purchased blueprint gear). Not fun. At all.
I shouldn't be able to field all proto gear all match every match with a resaonable death rate either but this is too little ISK. |

ISK is earned by:
A: The players you kill and their meta level of the gear they have. The higher the meta level earns more ISK. The lower earns you less ISK. A lot of players are using Militia loadouts that have a lower meta level gain to them.
B: Your time spent in game. If you stay in the game till it ends you'll earn more ISK.
C: Warpoints seems to effect a little bit of the outcome of ISK gain.
Each of those effect how you gain ISK. If you focus on all of those you'll be getting 150k - 200k per game. Reviving teammates, hacking things, getting kills, getting assist, each one of those gives you Warpoints. Learn to set Objectives to gain more Warpoints also. Killing tons of players that are using the Militia fit loadouts will net you 80k - 100k but there are some players out that are in full Advance that if you kill them will give you bigger bank. Tanks and Dropships, destroying those gives you a bigger bank since those also have a high meta level gain also.
Learn to use cheap gear and get better gun game with cheap gear till you can start affording 50 or so sets of the big boy toys. Right now I'm running with over 80 sets left of mostly Advance gear (GEK Assault Rifle, Assault A Series, Complex Shield Recharger, Enhanced Shield Extender, Armor Rep and Militia Nanite Injector) and I still have have over 10 mil to spend in ISK. Good games I go 25 - 30 kills with under 5 deaths. Bad game I range 20 - 25 kills and 10 deaths with 2000 - 3000 Warpoints. I earn close to 150k - 200ISK for both good and bad game those. Focus on doing what I said and you'll earn a ton of ISK in no time. |

i dont die very much, and i can barely buy skillbooks and keep more than 5-10 spare dropsuit classes. I use aurum for everything except my gun, and the rest is BPO's. I realize that part of the game is having to balance ISK and all that. You shouldn't be able to afford to run full proto gear and die 20 times per map. But I'm not able to afford to run militia gear and buy new skillbooks. That's just crazy. |

If everyone runs milita gear then the payout being paid by low milita gear is low whi,h leads to more people uaing milita gear this will be a problem only when everybody has milita like right after a wipe.
Do you need a tech 2 AR? Im sure a couple of damage mods and a tech 1 would suffice to kill all these milita suits |

If ISK gain is heavily tied to the load outs of those you kill, then is Logi are getting a serious shaft. If I go even in a match then it was a good day, and I still end up top 10 in due to my WP. But if I didn't have the militia BPOs and the MAG suit I wouldn't even be able to be buying skill books. Either needs a buff to how much you get for WP or an all over buff.
Compromise would be making Militia gear free again, at least then you could save up. The starter fits just aren't worth playing in without tweaking with other militia BPO gear. |

im fine with the isk amount i have 2 mil sitting there collecting dust ;) but im worried that people like the OP who do run and gun and go cap objectives are going to get disheartened and become a campy bastards, and we dont need any more of those |

The ISK is pathetic now. I'm not even sure I could afford to run in militia gear if I wasn't purchasing militia BPOs with AUR. As it is, I can't afford my skill books. The SP gain is also low, but I can't even spend it because I can't buy the skill books. I added a single tactical assault rifle to my loadout, and I can barely afford that on it's own even though everything else is free. |

Last build was like this at the start too, but it increased once more players were using good equipment. It seems that the isk payout to your team is determined using the value of the gear your enemies were using. Then your own payout is determined by what percentage of the team warpoints came from you.
It's a system that seems to work ok, but it takes a couple weeks for it to bootstrap itself to a level where you can afford to roll in expensive suits. |

You are supposed to be short on ISK.
This is the reason why you will want to do contracts for EVE players when the time comes. You are not supposed to be able to afford everything you want by doing crappy Instant Battle matches. You are supposed to gaze longingly at a big contract payout offered by some EVE corp to take over a planet. If you made enough ISK playing skirmish maps all day, why would you ever bother with a corp match? |

Militia gear is free I thought, standard issue, plus there's three starter fits that never run out.
Its a good idea to have several load outs, one for those games that turn into cannon fodder, another for when you are able to to actually fire and maneuver, getting the jump.
Its going to be nice when people value their clone a bit more than run into a blaze of gunfire, suppression fire actually is starting to work. Teamwork too is going to be a big part. Voice comms to call out enemy positions etc. I hope the commander function is much like Battfiled 2 had with its Commander setup, send orders to squads, squads request etc....I'm still learning this game.
Just like Eve, teamwork with the corp and valuing what you have is most likely going to be key for the greatest enjoyment. I hated to loose (destroyer cheap ship) Cormorants despite the fact that my pride and joy was a Ferox (battlecruiser with all kinds of expensive fittings). "Play within your means"
Once I moved out from green to yellow and eventually red territory the corp was my supplier of some goods, but what you got was used to better the Corp or you may get left out to dry, that's the dynamic that is still being materialized.
Also sell some of the salvage you get, you'll find the rare goodies fetch a high profit on the market (or will in the future.)
This is just beta remember. We're here to shape and mold, test and break, the system, its a micro world of what it will be like once fully attached to eve.
Skirmish also earns a lot more than ambush I've noticed, and that's most likely the team objective aspect. |

I think that it is good that the ISK and the SP cap has been decreased, it makes people cautios about what they buy and how they use it instead of just dishing out ISK on everything. Now with the decreased SP you actually feel that you have WORKED for something and it is basically not just given to you. |

I don't need one, it was mostly an example. A single tech 2 item and nothing but stock or bpo items should not break the bank. I've been playing around with other builds, but it's still obnoxious.
This will be better once we can sell and once we can get ISK from EVE, but I'm looking at this from the perspective of the casual player. This is not even remotely friendly to a new player who picks this game up and doesn't have EVE connections. They'll come in, get wtfpwned by everyone, not solely because of ISK, but because of ISK and the skill curve. They'll not have fun and they'll not play. I know I wouldn't if my first experience with this game was a year from now with the current ISK gain rate. |
