I like the sounds of this suggestion, but it's sort a little unclear to me how this would work.
Par explain a little? (apologies for being slow sometimes :P ) |

Judging from the TREMENDOUS amounts of armor the MCC's have, your repping has little effect as compared to the damage done by the Null Cannons. Couple that with the amount of people it would take to just stand there and rep the MCC while it's being shot, and you have a lost cause. |

Jarre Jardox wrote:@ polish: Honestly I've never tried to Rep the mcc and never will to me its the equivalent of mining in eve, tediously boring, but I recognize tht it can be good for the team cus it keeps ur mcc alive and don't say that it barely does anything to the mcc cus there have been a couple guys tht have said fitting 4 remote reps on a dropship can tank the other mcc's cannon, and its been my personal expirience tht wen I see 2 dropships repping the mcc tht its tanking the damage from one null cannon, I've made note of this quite often
Unfortunately, I must say that i've only seen an MCC being remote repped once, and that was in the last build. Also, i'm not a pilot since the dropship physics were changed, so remote reppers are still new news to me.
Still, it seems like there would be better ways of helping your team than dedicating time to MCC repping. |

Jarre Jardox wrote:Towards then end of the last build I saw it happen every other match. Wen I did I'd either get a team of forge snipers together to take them out or ram them with my own dropship. I think that we need to take in to account risk versus reward here because this tactic does have a very small risk and should have an equally small reward but should remain as a viable tactic. I think a better way to handle this particular tactic is provide wps to Repairers based off of the percentage of armor repaired making it more rewarding to run around healing suits less so for vehicles and extremely less for the mcc. This leaves repping the mcc as a viable tactic but removes the ability to efficiently farm sp off it.
I like your thinking Jarre, perhaps post this suggestion to the Feedback forum?? |
