Interesting, I am of the opinion that it is childish to believe you are powerless simply because some one said so. |

If only more people thought like this, perhaps more big companies wouldn't walk all over their consumers. |

Myself I've had this particular build make my PS3 shut off due to over-heating, it never happened last build or any of the previous ones. Now it wont last being on more than 5 minute without resetting itself and going into shutdown. The fact is that this build it has something beyond game breaking in it.
Have you seriously not noticed the massive frame drops and audio stuttering after playing a while?. I regular see 3 different people with different playstations all suffering this issue.
You can say "It's a beta!" or any crap that relates to the EULA. The fact is it is DAMAGING SYSTEMS by straining them to breaking and overheat point.
Pointing this out should not be met with cries of you read the law now deal with it. Are you all that mental not to realise that there's actually an issue here?.
I don't want money back I know what I signed up to, but there's definately an issue this build and I'm pretty sure it's to do with that skirmish map that should've been removed last build, not tweaked and put back in.
I'm pretty sure my problem was an overheating issue as well. I haven't turned it back on since but I hope it isn't damaged! |

Not sure if srs
You're raging about people telling a raging person that he will not get any money because of the broken PS3 hard drive. I guess it's a bit cruel to just say "They're not obligated because of the contract." but it is, what it is. I sympathize for you and question why mines hasn't done the same (it's been running smoothly) but I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of repeating the same thing...seeing how there have been past threads with the same topic with the same type of OP who won't listen to everyone and who has apparently not read the contract. I mean I didn't go through the complete contract :I but it's not like I'd continue ranting about them paying after the first post.
Now. They do need to fix that because it's something that can cause fear, especially with the new PS3s being shipped... |

So many people overlooked what this thread is about. I didnt say i wanted money or to sue once. I said people will start trying to if their **** gets broke you guys know it. So i figure their gonna need to fix it pretty soon. Now with that said, i was angry when i posted this from it happening two games in a row earlier. I coulda had a better tone i suppose but lets not forget the main problem, Dust is crashing consoles. It should get fixed. |

Just so you know, the chances of any software ruining your hardware unintentionally are pretty low. Almost impossible, really.
A hard freeze has almost no chance to ruin your PS3's ability to run. Neither does yanking out your power cord. However, yanking out your power cord can damage the cord or the input jack which CAN kitten up your PS3. Just hold the button down whenever you freeze and nothing bad will happen.
The "Checking hard drive" message that shows up after an unexpected shutdown is just a safety check and can almost always be skipped and ignored. Let it run once a month or so and run the rebuild database feature included with your PS3, and everything will be fine. |

This is so the truth I used to play another game that was released and was not a beta, that would cause hard freezes, data corruption memo, and any other type of freeze problem you have probably seen with a PS3. Everyone had this problem usually every other day on the reg, it was a such a common thing that they had acronyms so people could type it faster in chat. I played this game for over a year all together. Never once did I have any problems outside of having to reload the game. I did however do exactly what this man just said. Except the first time it happened it scared the crap out of me I freaked out and went online trying to figure out what the hell just happened to my PS3.
So for those freaking or getting worried please go look up the chance of anything actually happening from these problems. Also for those who say it could happen, In all honesty a tree with a momma bear that has not eating in over a month could fall on your car at any given moment that you are going down a road with a wooded roadside. Just pointing out what could happen |
