Explain this weapon to me please. I'm not really sure how skilling up +5% blast radius helps, or why its worth paying even a single isk for the Skill 1 version.
If I put a full swarm on a LAV it brings them down to 5% armor and they'll just bail.
Can you blindfire the Non-militia versions and not the militia version for some reason? |

The skill stat is a hangover from when swarm launchers were meant to be anti infantry/vehicle. It was way over powered so they reduced the blast radius damage a whole lot.
I am hoping that this void bonus will be replaced with something more fitting to its pure anti-vehicle role. |

I haven't tested dumbfiring yet (not enough vehicles on the field these days), but if you're knocking them down 95-99% with one shot you should upgrade the Weaponry skill a couple times. That should hopefully push your damage over the edge. |

A) You should skill it up to take out better LAVs ---right now your militia swarm can take out militia LAV but as LAV increase in strgenth, you will want you swarm to increaes as well. Not to mention the abilitty to take our drop ships and HAVs. B) I wish they would bring back dumb firing |

So how exactly is a Prototype Swarm Launcher better than the Militia? The only visible stat difference on the comparison screens are the fact that you hold 2 more rockets before needing to reload.
Is the time between shots, or the lockon time reduced. Do the swarm travel faster or have a tigther turning radius?
Is the "Can lock 2 targets at once" versions really useful if there's only 1 vehicle threat on the field? |

Proto does more damage. What other advantage do you want? Remember, the militia fires 4 missiles per wave, the proto fires 6. |

Double lock on should be good for taking out RDVs by locking it and its cargo, then having both sets hit the RDV.
Honestly I think its meant for taking out a target and its RR. It either takes both shots and gets messed up or it doesn't and its RR starts getting wrecked.
That said have not tried it this build so it might not fire twice at once. |

What mikegunnz said, militia swarms have only 4 missiles per shot and only hold 2 shots per clip, with 4 extra ammo. A regular Swarm Launcher has 4 missiles per shot, 4 shots in the clip and 2 extra ammo. That means you can fire a lot more times before having to reload. The advanced launcher has 5 missiles per shot, and the proto has 6 missiles per shot. So an advanced swarm launcher is 25% more damage over militia/regular swarm launchers, and the proto launcher does literally 50% more damage than the militia/regulars. Huge difference, even with just the advanced swarm launcher. |

Dumbfire rocket launcher was removed in favor in making room for the second launcher, the Gallente Plasma Cannon which is dumfire mode only if i recall right. |
