Is awesome. It makes people actually use the cover factor instead of dancing. Squad tactics are now viable around the new maps.

Props to you CCP. It's looking great. Yeah. this game is alot more 'squat and tuck tail' now. It being "awesome" is very much a subjective term |

Nope its trash. I spend most off my time playing the game running around the map looking for campers. The maps are huge and people are still to scared to move around the map. Its pathetic. I tried to play the game for a few hours today and I literally fell asleep in my chair after about an hour or two. zZzzzZzz
Maybe next build will be better but this one is pretty boring. |

So many tear's. Its great.
I have had no problems with the build whatsoever, but I do think that strafe speed needs a

buff. Not enough to make it a dance fest, but to make strafing viable for scouts. People trying to strafe in Assault suits are stupid though, thats not really the point of Assault suits. Assault suits need to think more to win, Heavies soak up damage, and scouts are mobile.
But seriously, the amount of crying by a few members of the community makes me a little more than suspicious that the fact isn't that its broken as much as that they just don't like being in a competitive playing field.
Which I just know, "a competitive playing fields" definition is gonna get argued over, but I know what it is. |

Your welcome.
Also, I forgot to note, the maps need more cover, especially around objective areas. Open ground is great and all, but it is hard not to get sniped when taking an objective now. Crates, vehicles, pipes, barricades, defenses would all be great.
Another thing is that it would be nice if the objectives could get switched around several random locations every match for simple variety.
Larger playercounts might help the camping issues, since more people can battle for the objectives instead of waiting for a player to come for them.
Also, I honestly think aim assist should be completely removed. That feature DOES dumb down combat. Computer assisted aiming does not have a place in online FPS's.
Otherwise, I find this to be a great patch so far. Liking it or not is simply a personal taste between styles of shooter, though. |

I agree with this. You hit the suits on the head, cover if you are an assault, but don't just cover cover and push for an advantage. If you are a Heavy then push straight up the middle that is your job( I think that they need an armor boost personally, 1 AR clip and one is down that should not be). Lastly the scout take them down with nothing maybe 7 rounds but the need to be faster. A scouts job is to be way ahead and scanning the battlefield not making their team mates wait behind them because they are being followed by the assaults which are just a little bit slower than they are.
With scouts being effective. I think that a scout should never run an AR, either use a SG or a SR. That is a scout in your face and blowing off your head or you never saw it till the bullet hit your visor. I mowed down way to many scouts with hip fire because the could not come at me quick enough.
So over all I like it. Heavies need a little bit more armor and scouts just a little bit faster, and I think that they have it in the money. |

We want a competitive game.... So what competitive playing fields are you talking about? Are you talking about the massive camping in this build? Camping takes very very little skill. |

I will admit there has been some camping, but I will also say that in the about 10 matches that I have played I was not to bad. I have a lot of camping issues in ambush more that skirmish though. People tend to take the high ground and try to hold it. However this maybe a pain it is a very good tactic and, It wont go anywhere as far as ambush goes. For skirmish though there is to much area to say you can't come up with a tactic to take out campers. Also along the idea of camping I learned the first night that if you hold still you will be hit with a PS or an OB very soon and, those things come down really fast. |

I barely see any campers, unless you are talking about snipers. This build means you just cant move back and forth with ease when an enemy pops out. You have to strategize, find cover, and move along that cover. |

Which I just know, "a competitive playing fields" definition is gonna get argued over, but I know what it is. Actually, I couldn't understand the strafe speed complaints until I played the game again today, and started getting kills again, thereby coming to the horrible realization that the 0/11 match I had yesterday was due to me TRYING TO LEAD MY TARGETS. The reason I never experienced all the latency issues of the previous builds was because I thought leading your targets was something we were supposed to be doing. But nope. Hitscan.
The hitscan mechanic is the problem, ladies and gentlemen. If all your enemy has to do to kill you is keep the little dot on you and tap a button a slow strafe speed means that everyone just dies instantly. I seriously hope that this new hit detection system gives them the confidence to implement ballistics calculation, because we're going to have a damn hard time getting people to take our game seriously if it runs on hitscan. |

I mean, obviously something like a laser should be a hitscan weapon, but I thought that was one of the reasons for its lower initial damage in order to balance it against what I thought were the slower moving shots of the plasma ARs. Switching from hitscan to actual ballistics calculation would not only increase the skill ceiling involved in shooting, but would help to differentiate weapons more. |

Yea I don't know much about hitscan. Or the other stuff so I can't say much. What I'm saying is that right now any shot you fire while the dot is lined up will hit the target regardless of their range or speed relative to you, eliminating the need to actually aim. All we're doing right now is "pointing". If you think about it, even magnetically accelerated, a ball of plasma would travel more slowly than a round from a railgun.
When I got into this Beta, I figured that weapon shot speeds would follow a Laser(histcan)>Guass/Rail>Plasma>Bullet layout, but with all weapons being hitscan, then what's the real difference? I'm hoping that the Experimental sniper is an indication that we'll be seeing hitscan left behind now that hit detection is working better. |

This build, I am assault and was going to go crusader suit if they introduced it.
