Bah! I downloaded a 2.6 Gig patch just to see that the game still doesn't register 2/3 of the hits that were on target. Furthermore, the screen still freezes every 3 seconds when shooting. You would think they would address the most important issues first. I didn't even bother to play an 2nd mission to see if the spawn system is still terrible in "ambush."
Why mess around with the market system, and add 2 videos that shouldn't even be in a beta, when the game itself is not playable to anyone with proper standards?
Forgive my rant, but how many patches does it take for CCP to develop proper hit detection? Anyone who has played this game long enough knows that we are not talking lag here. Priorities are important! |

I for one don't have any problem with hit detection, other than i got used to leading and aiming where i knew i would get a hit, and now i actually have to be on the person. I think you might just need more practice bro. |

Hit detection is fine! I am flucking up scouts now and thats more than enough for me! My sensitivity did need adjustment though. you may want to check that out. |

I dont understand ppls issue with hit detection or lag. I have had neither of these issues with this new build. There are some bugs though.....anyone else notice that several AUR items are actually purchased with ISK right now? |

hit detection did improve. i got on after download first game shot at sum1 at range and went "WOOOOOOOAH i cnat hit stuff now" same with moving targets. once i adjust back to better hit detection ill be set.... and i was getting so good at the old system... jk |

Most of the hit detection was with the scout suits, snipers and close combat. You couldnt hit a scout even with an HMG of 300 rounds. Sniper rifle hits wouldnt show on the enemy. And people could just run into you without loosing any shield. I know the scout has been fixed and people running into you without getting killed has been fixed. Cant say about the sniper rifle. |

Hit dectection takes a dive when the lag gets bad. Last night the servers went nuts and hit detection became bad. But if you got a chance to play it when the servers were fine it was really good.
See all hit detection and movement and everything is done server side. It's part of why eve online has never been hacked. *exploited loopholes yes, but no hard hacks* So if your internet gets bad, or the servers gets lagged out you will have a terrible experience.
Also while standing at a point a swarm launcher that was targeted near me actully almost killed me. Swarm launchers may have lost the lock on, but they have returned to the very 1st patch and now can kill dorpsuits easily. Jusr lock on to the Point it;self and you can kil people with one hit who are hacking . xD |

What time was this? I was on between 6:30 pm EST and 11 pm EST. There were some minor lag issues but none when it came to hit detection? |

No, the problems now with the ****** controls feeling like sludge. Seems the analogue sticks are more sensative the further from the center you get. Makes precision aiming at speed somewhat difficult. |

I noticed this too! I had to change my sentivity from 90 to 40. That did the trick! |

It might have something to do with a map glitch rather than hit detection, i.e., the terrain was blocking your shot even though it wasn't blocking your view.
EDIT: Obviously you say he was in plain view, but I've been known to exaggerate a little when frustrated. I'm just trying to look at the problem a bit more holistically. |
