They are getting called in with far too much frequency at the moment. The WP cost for them must have been lowered for some reason. 4-8 I thought you where good ???
First game on this build, no SP in skills, all in Corp skills, not spending isk, and having controller issues as posted in the feedback thread.

It's not farming, but CCP needs to raise the required warpoints for calling in precisions strikes, or CCP needs to add counters to them. |

Different server, the corps set up on TQ not SISI, even if it was on SISI we couldn't access it as it's made EVE side and you can't access SISI from EVE at the moment.
At least i'm man enough to admit when i'm having a bad game.

Gotta say, I agree with with him on this one. You can get a Precision Strike at about 1k of WP or so and once you hit that needed amount you call in a Precision Strike and boom. You have no to time to react to it. Some why to maybe counter strike it or stop it from happening would be a nice add in on the game or making them have like a 3 second delay instead of having a beam just beam down and boom with no delay and everyone in that area is dead with almost a for sure, no chance of getting out alive. It covers a wide area so 3 seconds should be enough time to ether hope you have a chance of making it out of the blast zone or no chance at all.

A guy had a match where it was him plus one other guy on the entire team. They got a single orbital at the end. Combined, he and his teammate had just over 1800 war points. He made a thread. this seems to be the magic number. |

The current setup would probably be ok if people weren't farming SP at the back corner of the map with a LAV and a repair tool. I was a squad leader earlier tonight and I got 3 strikes through the match, with a lot of organized teamplay. But the people who spawn a LAV at the back and spend all their time repairing it are able to call in strike after strike, with barely a pause in between. Look at the killboards, you can spot the people exploting LAV repairs to get strikes. They're earning 6000+ war points per match, and someone actually fighting in a match might get that after an entire evening fighting battles.
This probably won't be an issue with corp vs corp battles since it means your guys on the front line are outnumbered and will lose. That said, rolling in a squad tonight it was pretty hilarious getting caught in a strike. Just enough time for everyone to yell "Ohshit! Run!" before everyone goes flying. |

Orbital strikes are a little excessive, maybe CCP could split difference next build?
The kill vs assist is a good point, the whole squad helps gain the strike, so maybe give squad assists instead of leader kills? I heard if a single player gets enough warpoints they can call one in solo, in this case it seems they should get kills instead of assists.
Borderlands is a great 1-4 person pve rpg/fps(nearly straight rpg), pvp is a joke in it. Char level and gear trump skill more then many pen and paper rpg. About as relevant to compare to dust as Need for Speed would be, few things could transfer but should play radically different. |

I think they increased the AOE of the OB as well as the speed they are deployed from the warning, they do seem to be very easy to get now also.
we did manage to avoid one last night when we were in a LAV but it only just missed us i think if we were on foot we would have died |

Yes the OBS is way too powerful now. Greater AOE.....seems like it does more dmg........easier to call and keep calling all game long....impossible to avoid unless you are in a LAV or at the very edge of the strike. You see the blue light and then just die. There needs to be a minimum of a 5 second delay between calling the strike and the strike actually landing. Because (if you think about it really) it would take some time for the msg to get to the ship...ship to lock on coordinates....and then time for the ordinance to actually hit. This should all be calculated in. I dont mind strikes like these in a game if you can avoid them by playing smartly. This is something MAG did well. You knew a strike was coming if you saw the smoke and if you stayed in the area its your own fault that you died. Smart players should have at least a chance to avoid the strike instead of seeing the blue light and then respawning. |

I was in a game with Rafiki and team. They called over 10 orbital strikes in a single game. I dont know who it was went 40 - 4 just with OBs. Saw him use his gun once or twice!
With that said not once did any of those OBs hit me.
Im just saying adapt and kill. Use the fragos more :)! |
