I really think they need to up the rate you get for killing people with militia gear. I have had rounds where I go 20 - 4 and still dont get paid enough to cover the 4 deaths..... That is a little confusing to me. I am not even using full proto gear. I really feel bad for the ones who are using full proto and do this. An adjustment would be nice. I think they should make some kind of increase when you use a fit that reaches a certain price. Any thoughts? |

I didn't even make good isk when I used my tank because everyone went militia... either way I retired the tank usage when they nerfed av and the resist mods tanks are pretty much dead..... i am 100 ar now but i am done til the new build i hate running up on a scout and lag hits me so hard that my screen freezes while he is blasting his shotgun and then im dead when the screen unfreezes..... aaahhh ready for the new build

Yes the scout suit is mysterious that way.
But you know we didn't get much extra isk for taking out those nice tanks. An I know I sure spent a hell of a lot on my AV load outs, it never really pays to use good gear yet.
The last build when we did our epic proto battles we all got crap loads of isk so I imagine it will eventually work out. |

I get nearly 500k most games, more then covers for my full proto gear. But yeah if you die more then 4times it's not worth it Lol, they should put some kind of system in place. |

You sound familiar have I killed you before with a pistol?? There is a SYSTEM in place and that is running MILITIA suits for ZERO ISK with militia weapons. Makes it fun to kill folks running expensive getups.

always and every day.
i make it my mission to cause people who run around with prototype weapons and armor to lose isk. i kill them twice they are already losing isk. got to love the militia scout gear capping the heads off everyone that doesn't cheat the system. |

There is in battle skill, basically same as other shooters, and pre-battle skill(setting up good fits, knowing where to spend isk for better mods, training skills to maximize affect from given sp) This type of shooter needs both, although great gun game over comes bad fitting/skills easier then great fitting/skills overcomes lack of gun game.
Full proto will be people splurging to play at isk lose that game, very high kdr players, very rich players with outside of battle funding, aur buyers, and pve. Pve is generally much safer/profitable then pvp, but less fun. So, some will grind isk in pve to use proto in corp matches. I don't expect proto gear will be that common, complex mods and weapons sure, proto-suits will be uncommon. This will probably make game a little easier on noobs, so not a problem it's a feature. |

If you lose money with a certain fitting, it means it's too expensive. honesty they give too much isk away. SP should be a given amount per mission (they are changing it to a better system soonGäó)
isk should be given on how well you accomplish the objective or help out team mates and then kills if killing isn't the objective. |

why HAVE isk if you can just afford whatever, whenever? persistence and consequences were supposed to be selling points, weren't they?
also, quickmatch. newbie grounds. if you run high end gear in newby game modes, and lose isk... hurray? the system works. if anything, these bottom rung matches should pay LESS isk. (like they did early in the build)
so the most we should be asking for is bigger and better arenas to flex our high end muscles in, where we can make enough to cover a solid performance in high end gear. with a little sign that says "newbies beware"
it's the only system that can work. if every mode pays enough to use prototype, newbies may as well not play. also, why bother with isk or a market?
but if no mode pays well enough to cover proto gear. why have proto gear? proto gear is not the top end stuff BTW. there are currently off market weapons, and i'd like to see that trend expand into other items, suites modules and what have you. these would be the "sunday best"
the kiddie pool cannot support your wave runner. you need to find a lake, not ask for more water in the kiddie pool. if there is no lake then THAT is a legitimate grievance. |

Don't agree, if anything people need to get less from killing militia targets.
ISK should be given out in terms of what is deserved with variables taken into consideration such as gear used vs gear taken out. Killing 100% militia gear (starter kits) is easy compared to taking out somebody with full blown proto everything. Militia gear people have weak shields, their armor is weak and they have no fancy grenades, neat devices like nano-hives, armor repairing ability or powerful weapons. You absolutely should not get more for killing these players.
Everything should be broken down into variables for every single thing like, armor, shields, dropsuit, weapons used etc etc. And based on those variables should determine what points are given out.
So lets make up a description term, lets say the militia gear guy has a widget score of 15, this adds up all the widget points from each part of what the player is using (weapons, armor, shields, weapons used etc etc), combined into a total. And lets say the proto guy has a widget score of 80. For the sake of argument, we will assign a ISK value to the widget score, we'll 1 widget score = 3 ISK.
So in this example, the proto guy kills the militia guy with ease, and gets 45 ISK. But on the other hand, if the militia guy kills the proto guy (which he had to fight tooth and nail for), he gets 240 WP. This could be further enhanced by adding multipliers based on how close the two Widget scores come to eachother, so when a militia kills a militia (each with a 15 widget score), they get more than just 15 ISK. The closer the widget scores are to eachother, the more a player will get.
The main thing I am trying to convey here is that it is not easy for a militia gear guy to kill a proto guy, but is very easy for proto to kill militia. And the points earned should reflect that. I feel this would actually prove positive in many ways, it would help persuade the proto people to seek out and kill other proto people, rather than ravaging the, mostly likely new to the game, militia gear folks for easy kills and easy points.
I belive a player should only get what they deserve, and ravaging a militia gear guy with ease using proto weapons or whatever, should not be encouraged. Go battle somebody with your own skill level and time spent in game, rather than picking on the smell guy for easy rewards. |

so basically measure everything by isk take down. i like that idea. perhaps people will play smarter rather than pump out the proto suits and go on a killing spree against militia suits that have a tough time taking them down. there are downsides to this. one of the large negative sides i see is the fact that EVE players pay them not CCP. or at least that is what it will be at time of release if things actually work out. they pay the players to use the best suits and vehicles to make sure they win.
another problem I'm seeing is the fact people will just not use the high suits at all. no one will get any isk what so ever no matter how many they kill.
i believe that WP should be a base for this you get X money by the objective WP and 1/2 by other objective helping teammates. and if killing is not an objective you should be given 1/2 as well.
if you are running around capping objectives you should get more isk than the useless STB sniper sitting on a building. |

i agree with you in spirit, but i think the specifics just won't work:
for one you can't tell what that little red blip on the other side of that hill is wearing. you can't track down players in good gear, and it makes no sense to intentionally avoid enemies in bad gear. in a game with a mix of high and low tier enemies, you simply don't get to choose who wants to shoot at you.
the other being something of an "any given sunday" argument. i completely agree that 1 guy in proto gear has an advantage over 1 guy in militia gear. but who has the advantage between 1 guy in prototype and 2 guys in militia? the proto suits are good but they're certainly not MAGIC. a lucky double team can easily overcome the gear advantage, and that's also perfectly valid. you're not gonna STOP shooting an enemy because a teammate is already shooting at him...
i think it needs to be a modifier on the mode or lobby. as opposed to at the individual level.
room A: big room, ***** isk. everyone bring your expensive gear. party time. newbies stay out.
room B: small room, pays like a third world MacDonalds. don't bother using non-militia, you will lose money. safe place for newbies who can't use non-militia anyway. veterans stay out.
obviously those are both extreme exaggerations but you get the idea. |

Learn to play more efficiently. You are a 'mercenary'. You should be killing the most people possible for the least cost
This may mean (gasp) using mostly militia gear with a few enhancements, be it more powerful guns etc. Your fighting skills will improve that way also.
Edit: Come game release I have difficulty believing that this will be the final payout system. Corp A wants planet WD-40 captured and is willing to pay 4m for the Merc/Merc Squad to capture it. It doesn't matter what loadout or how big or small the team, that is the payday. Don't like it? Don't take the contract. Easy. |

Milita becomes BPC in the next build.
That aside Proto is supposed to be "Sunday Best" meaning that if you run it every game either A)don't die much or B) you're losing ISK.
All in all sounds like things are working as intended.
