Wouldn't have a problem with it if it was only the new dropsuits, but this is a slap in the face of early adopters Those same things still have value. The extra 40,000 AUR is worth the same to you as the first 40,000 AUR. The 30-day skill booster is still worth $15, just like the other 30-day skill booster you have. Even discounting the items and dropsuits, the AUR and booster alone make the merc packs a bargain and are worthwhile purchases if you see yourself playing Dust for a while. The fact that there are extra dropsuits added is just a nice bonus on top. Their value is dimisnished. If the merc pack was available and allowed for a choice between a scout, logi or assualt suit, I would have picked logi. This new one gives you ALL of them, for the same price. Can anybody help me find the sense in this post? I don't get it....how does free suits diminish the value of a booster or Aurum? |

This sense of entitlement some gamers have really baffles me sometimes... They sold something and you bought it, because you thought it was worth the money. Now they promote the exact same thing by adding some items for a short amount of time, and you are upset, because you don't get these items for free? You know...every single sale works like that. Limited time/amount offer for reduced price or with added value. Does that mean you are entitled to a refund/the additional items when you bought earlier? Spoiler alert: No. I repeat: You thought it was worth it when you bought it and you got what you bought.
When I tell you, that I got Portal for free last year, do you run to Valve and demand a refund because you paid for it? When you see the Humble Indie Bundle, do you want a refund for games you already have?
If you really have to have these suits, buy the pack again...you have the Dragonfly suit and the SMG twice, but the rest is still more than worth the money. And once the market is implemented, you can sell the duplicates. |

Have you ever seen those commercials where one kid is a member of a bank and a new kid joins the bank and gets free ice cream, or a puppy, or a car? And when the kid who was already a member asks why he doesn't also get that which the new kid got FOR FREE the guy in charge just says "Oh that's only for new kids". Then the first kid just looks at him funny and the commercial ends with "Even a kid can tell it's not fair." No. Haven't seen 'em. Are they real, or did you just pull them out of your kitten? |

All three scenarios.
Well, then...stupid commercial. No connection to the real world of marketing. This one advertiser might use it to show how different they are, but without the usual sale promotion practice, this commercial wouldn`t even make sense. |
