This game isn't made for classical team deathmatches like in COD,BF3 to name a few.
They better put all their energy in putting up big conquest modes. Ambush in here just doesnt feel right but thats my oppinion,
For me ambush in 1 sentence = CRAP

problem is right now .like every auto match i join (since u cant choose what u want to join,play) is ambush.
i only played a couple of other matches but mostly its ambush ambush and again ambush.
They should get rid of ambush . |

i hate it.
we need objectives. i like playing as a team. not a 1 man killing machine. at least put supply depots in every map of ambush for something to defend or attack +1 to who mentioned this before me |

TDM, like any game mode, benefits from good map design.
I don't think the current map design helps the action to flow at all. There's never really any ebb and flow to the matches. You can't just dream up a layout and plonk 24 players into it. The design has to be carefully considered - flanking areas, choke points, hot spots for camping etc.
That massive wide open map is a complete disaster. Mid to long range battles with woefully inaccurate rifles are tiresome and boring. |

maps shouls be dynamic at this stage. every time you play they should be different.

The problem is that this game requires intelligence, constant communication, and strong coordination; of which many players are sorely lacking. That changes the whole dynamic. |

I quite like ambush matches. Once you stop thinking of it as mindless DM with teammates it's very nice.
(I partly like ambush because in this mode people are actually playing the game instead of boosting back at spawn.) |

Ambush on the huge open maps is absolutely awful. But on the smaller tight maps it isn't half-bad. Although they should really think about omitting tanks, jeeps and dropships for use in those maps when it is ambush. |

Ambush is horrible,especially since it seems that the majority of the matches are on that TERRIBLE map with all of the rocks.I'm soo sick of that map that I never want to play it again.

Would be a lot better if each side had a pre-determined spawn instead of spawning either on top of 3 mercs from the other team or 2 miles away from the nearest person. |

Over all, agree. Ambush is crap and I groan every load up of it. Except for the small ones. Even then they aren't awesome, but they are great zones for building team breach, and team cover fire/advance skills. There is no point. No objective, no drive.
The big maps are just sniper training.
They are some drill sergeants wet dream of repitition and practice. |

Ambush is a lot of fun with a competent and pre assembled squad, but it's awful as a pickup game...

I think I find a reasonably defensible position & drop 2 uplinks that face different directions & use my fits with nanite injectors until the enemy pulls out a tank for one of my antivehicle fits to tackle.

I completely understand the spawn system the way it is now,to prevent spawn camping,but what really doesn't make any sense is why every time I start a match,me and my squad mates don't spawn near each other.I think many of the spawning issues would be easily resolved if they had it where you spawned near squad mates instead of in no man's land nine times out of ten.Can't tell you how many times I've spawned without a single teammate around.
Can't wait until I have a choice again to not play ambush. |

Just sneak out of the base and snipe people from the hills. It gets kind of boring, though, so on these small maps I usually use my shotgun medic and revive and repair in the thick of things. It's basically an SP farm as long as I remember not to charge into the teeth of danger. |

Kitten gets cooperative real fast :) |

100% agreed, this is one of the huge wide open maps that I really hate on ambush, it just doesn't fit the TDM scope whatsoever.
The other map, with all the buildings and cover (and is nicely confined), is great for TDM. |
