While I grew incredibly tired of the last build's single skirmish map,the one positive that I could take away from it was that at least it was stable. This build it worse than the build before the last one, which leads me to my point.
I personally think that whatever improvements to the actual game play are introduced in the next build,it really won't mean squat if we have the same issues with disconnections, hard crashes and freezes, the "invalid" bug,and all of the other host of glitches that are ubiquitous in this build.
I think that if CCP doesn't get a handle on the connectivity issues, and the other bugs in the game,I know personally for me,I will be playing less of the next build that I am of this one, which is already significantly less than the last build.I can easily see that a good amount of other testers won't put up with much of it either.
Fingers crossed that CCP gets it worked out.

Actually there are 4 skirmish matches, but it seems the game REALLY likes us to play the freaking spire map 9 times out of 10.
but yes, stability is going to be a big thing, hopefully the move to TQ wont cause another can of worms to be opened. |

I'm so sick of that stupid map with all of those large rocks coming out of the ground in this build. It's a sniper's paradise.I wonder when we will ever get good old Biomass/Communications back. |

to be honest i think this build is stable i think the problems with the move to SiSi just made it worse. if you happened to be on those 3 days right before the last wipe you would of felt that ccp removed all lag and framerate issues. it was probably the most flawless build before the move and compared to the past 2-3. |

I think part of the problem is that the server they were originally were testing Dust on was set up for just that purpose. Singularity was designed as the test server for EvE originally. Also it doesn't have a bunch of nodes to run it. On top of that with Dust getting moved it added another 2000+ people when normally the average amount of people on singularity was a few hundred at most. |

yea, plus hardware transfers come with their own problems especially when data was optimized so well for the tech it ran on, ive just been impressed with the examples of how CCP can fix lag rather quickly compared to how devs in MAG just plainly gave up. im not worried though i expect after the new download there will be surprises lying around for the first couple of days. :) |

CCP clearly understand the importance of managing lag, and the kinds of techniques available to them to deal with it. Of course, progress is never fast enough to keep us players happy, but they've got enough experience with the issue to understand that as well and not to let it grind them down.

...what? I just played a game on Communications last night. Both Communications, Biomass, and Plateaus are all in this build, the game just seems to favor that spire map. |

You do realize that we're all connecting to a single server right now, right? Yes and no, Currently we are on SiSI (presumably in the same London based server farm as TQ) however the battles are fought on 'battle severs' that are located in various places around the world. Information about battles in progress is communicated to and from the main server (now SiSi, soon TQ) which is how orbital bombardment will work. |

The battle server to the core communications is a bit complcated the battle servers are supposed to serve as a local node and best comprimise in lag reduction however... we do have people playing on maps and when conquest mode launches people from all over the world playing on the same exact map. we're going to run into the issues eventually. |

I remember back in the second build, for more than half of that build, I literally couldn't play a SINGLE game of skirmish without crashing right away. This was back when only 5-10 people played ambush at any one time >_<
