The following is my Email to [email protected], and their response..
Hello CCP,
As far as I am aware, every player should have gotten 1 of each Skinweave suit (Scout, Assault, Logistic, Heavy). To this date I have recieved 1 Scout, 1 Logistics and 3 Heavy. I assume this was a glitch and I should not have recieved 3 Heavy and no Assault, instead having recieved 1 of each, so I wanted to bring this to your attention. I would be happy to give up the extra 2 Heavy dropsuits to gain 1 Assault to complete the set of Skinweave suits. Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue.

Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately, We are unable to swap the Heavy skinweaves dropsuit for an Assault dropsuit. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. If you have further question, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Considering all the things that can be done in games to add, remove or even change equipment, I feel a bit like my issue was ignored. I have had nothing but great experiences in the past with CCP support and would simply like a full set of Skinweave like most, if not all, other beta tester recieved. Thank you for your attention to this problem.

Your account is going to be reset soon, so I can't see the logic in complaining about a simple error firstly.
Secondly you aren't entitled to it as this is a beta (testing and working bugs out of the game).
And thirdly they don't have people in customer service overseeing a game. The people we talk to since this is in beta are either devs, or middle-people to devs. It's not a product yet requiring customer services and ways to intimately modify personal character data.
Obviously this is a required feature they will implement for internal use in the future, but right now you're asking a developer to stop fixing bugs and making new content to sort through a massive database of people just to find you and add a number in.
I understand your frustration, but do remember you're trying to deal with them as if this is a finished game you're a customer for, and instead getting responses as if "This is a beta, stuff is going wrong and we're recording it. There's not a lot more we can do right now as a lot of people are having errors and we don't have the time to fix them all one by one by hand, so we really can't take any on or else we'd then be responsible for them all. We're truly sorry for any trouble this has caused you." |

Jane DeArc, thank you for your reply, but when I had an issue last rebuild because I did not recieve the 1 million SP/isk that I was owed, within half an hour of me mailing them the issue was resolved. I understand this is a game in beta phase, and another reset is coming soon, and perhaps that is all that will be needed to resolve the issue, I truely hope that is the case. But I am not asking a developer to stop what they are doing to attend to my personal needs, simply bringing it to someone's attention so it can be addressed, this is the 'Technical Support/Bugs' section is it not? Perhaps I'm not the only one affected, or the bug was not previously known and needs to be put on the list of things to work on for the next rebuild. I apologize if my post seemed self-serving, but the fact still remains that I am simply doing my part as a tester and realying information to CCP. |

Last build was some time ago, and there were FAR fewer people playing, and they gave out tons of SP not as a thank you, but as a "Invest in more skills so we can see what's broken/working"
And you didn't post this under the notion of "Here's a bug I'd like to report" This thread is airing out your dirty laundry relating to your dissatisfaction with how CCP Devs are handling your situation.
Your mature nature, and cool headed responses are a breeze of fresh air around here, but unfortunately it doesn't make the end answer any sweeter. The rigged program they made to issue rewards is well...rigged. It's not top priority right now, and as a result anything related to it is rated the same priority. With a new build being pushed soon they're likely working to the bone to make sure it doesn't cause MORE crashes and tidying it up. |

i have the same issue, three heavy suits, with nothing else, still no isk/sp received and ive already asked around have been waiting patiently but now i fear i will never get them. im not trying to push our dev around for them to stop bug fixing, but i would like that some point i at least get the suits, i know most people received there beta accounts, but i paid, not only for the practice and help in the beta process of this game, but for the collectors items like the skinweaver suits. lm sorry if this conflicts with anyone elses veiws on this topic, im only a person who bought cracker jacks and never found my prize inside, im in no rush to get these just would like to have them at some point, thank you |

Here's another of the same mindset, you are comparing BUYING something and not getting what you expected in return, wherein the free isk/sp (which is coming for everyone if you bothered to read around/listen) and skinweave suits (which no word has been passed, but it's likely it will be made available again for everyone) are NOT owed to you and were NOT bestowed in a transaction (IE: Buying cracker jacks) but given offhandedly (a minor gift). To perfect your analogy, you did not buy the box of cracker jacks, your good friend gave you a box since he had two and he figured you would enjoy some. You enjoyed the snack, but are upset that there is a lack of prize, so now you complain and vilify your friend for keeping the prize from you.
Either way, most of these things become pointless/useless with the coming new build. It's like if you were to decide that you wanted a particular skill RIGHT NOW and grind for it nonstop despite the knowledge that in a mere few days you will not have it or the benefit of it due to the reset. |

im sorry, i just noticed a topic that was simular to a MINOR issue and now know that im not the only one who was wondering what was up, and found someone whos bashing people for there feed back on a beta. im only voicing my opionion on this topic, im sorry for that. just was wondering |

Actually Jane, he is probably refering to the $19.99 Mercenray Pack that includes Beta access (among other things), so in reality he did pay for his "Cracker Jacks". For the subject of the Skinweave Dropsuits, you are correct, nothing that I can find has been said about each player recieving them, but let me ask you this.. If all of your coworkers got raises except for you, would you be ok with it just because your boss didn't TELL you that your coworkers were getting raises?
Agree or disagree, I have brought the issue to light, but we have gotten far from it, so I retire.. besides, you know what they say about people who argue over the internet.  |

thats correct. and even if i didnt, then i paid for my friend who promised something and hasnt came through yet (but i still have faith in YOU CCP)

The skinweaves weren't part of the mercenary pack, and you aren't looking for your Dragonfly suit, boosters, AUR, or toxic smg. So while it's very cool if you supported CCP already via Merc Pack, it's 100% unrelated to this issue, which is about skinweave issues.

But that's the thing, if you were searching before you created a new topic you would see that this isn't a rare issue, and they have commented already that there is nothing that can be done for it right now, but hold tight and they'll make them available again.
So to use your analogy,
The boss offers everyone a bonus, but because of an HR system error, only some people are getting the bonus. The people that don't one by one (unique threads for nearly all instead of a uniform one place of gathered bug reporting) go headhunting for the boss looking for the bonus that they didn't necessarily earn but was gifted out of kindness. The boss talks around and says that soon it will be cleared up but there's nothing he can do right now.
Let's be clear, I have NO skinweave items, and when I realized based on the requirements that I should, I searched around and discovered the nature of the situation. I didn't send in complaint/request emails for them, nor did I make a thread to showcase the emails (which only benefits other players and hopes to rally them behind you, not report an issue as a BUG or any other innocent cause).
That said, it sucks we don't have them. We will get them. These threads shouldn't be made so frequently if you were reading stickies and following rules. We already have tanker threads every few minutes and invalid fittings threads made hourly. |
