*shrug* Then it'd be your fault for being behind I guess, no different than getting into a game months late. It's just justification for no further resets if that's what they're going for. Open beta's kinda like launch anyway for a free game, especially for something like Dust where it's never really going to be in a final version, and constantly be changing and building on itself. |

Beside there is no post by Devs/IRC/blogs that next build we are going Open but a reset is, so he can't base his argument on IF we go open next build this will happen and IF not this will happen.
Another thing CCP will never say to a newbie complaining that others had ahead start "Its your fault not joining the open beta" its just stupid |

People who are in the beta are used to the resets and shrug them off, NEW people are not going to join the beta this far into it....so close to launch, so they are going to wait for the LAUNCH build. Which brings me back YET AGAIN to my previous statement about 'clean slates'.

Hmmm sorry I opened a can of worms here.
I just wanted an estimated time frame between this reset & the final reset.
I think I'll take the easy option, and play as how I would after the final reset. But with a bit of dabbling & experimenting in the new skills etc.

Well can we please get a response from a dev regarding this, because mixed opinions about this topic is what's causing problems in this thread. If we had some input from a dev things would calm down |

it's not mixed reports. There is one more beta wipe. Then the game will release soon after in DEC, obviously with everyone starting at level 0. |

I know that we get one more beta reset plus one for launch, that's what I've been trying to get through to people. |

I wanted to talk about the argument that if they don't wipe before the last release it's unfair to everybody. If the Rpg elements are so powerful or the matchmaking is so horrible that makes it a huge hole for anybody starting after say 6 months. Then CCCP Is digging a huge hole for them self. You're basically saying that nobody is going to want to join this game after 6 months. The only way for Dust 514 to succeed is by word of mouth. If new players are hopelessly out matched by what is on the battlefield Then Dust 514 has no chance of succeeding. I don't really care if they wipe the server before actual release 1 way or the other. I just think that if the it's not fair argument is true then dust will never be a huge success and I'm sure that's not what CCCP is gunning for. |
