Does anyone like the idea of locking down vehicles in one spot for bonuses? For ex. perhaps X damage or X hitpoints. Would be great for attacking and defending yet it would make vehicles more vulnerable position wise. Also their would be a time delay to get to siege mode as well. Thoughts? |

I don't see how vehicles could do that with there current model's, it would have to be a entirely different vehicle. |

New version of tank maybe, but EVE has dreadnoughts that siege to increase damage so the same mechanic transferring to dust only seems inevitable. |

Hav was said to fit seige modules in a press release.
Dreadnought ones in EvE prevent movement and from eve-wiki Increases armour and shield repair amount by 100%. Halves armour repairer and shield booster cycle time. Makes the dreadnought immune to Target Painters, ECMs, Tracking Disruptors, Stasis Webifiers, Remote Sensor Dampeners and Warp Disruptors (but not Warp Disruption Field Generators) increases main weapon damage by 625%. reduces turret tracking by 92.5%, and torpedo explosion velocity by 92.5% reduces sensor resolution by 75%. |

I would rather it be a entirely new vehicle instead of some modules you add to you're tank. |

They are a easy target for AV guys when they cannot move. Get close to them and shoot. Their turrets turn way slower than you can run so you can easily avoid them. |

You can't turn off siege, once you start it up you're locked in. |

I'm kinda hoping that when Marauders get the siege module they lose the small guns. I feel like they should function like dreadnoughts: made to sit stationary and kill other things that are stationary, or at least very large.
Of course another possible interpretation is that they will be used to function as uprootable installations. Commanders will have one or two brought in on large battles to deny certain routes to enemies, or to defend a critical point. By that interpretation they absolutely WILL need their small guns. |

I'd like to see this idea applied to some sort of mobile artillery, at least when the maps get larger. |
