Kiriap. The numbers already speak loudly, the latest AV boost and Tank hypernerf is just far far too much. If you need us to test tanks, lower their price to the level they are now worth. About par (cost wise) with an Advanced Forge gun I'd say. |

You seem to be forgetting that we're getting active shield hardeners in the next build. What REALLY hurt the tank, is the same thing that REALLY hurt dropships, SHIELD AMPLIFIERS were nerfed. With active shield hardeners, you will be able to use SKILL to give you bursts of high damage resistance. Believe it or not, CCP is making DUST 514, I think they have a slight idea of what it is they're doing.
You seem to forget we don't have them now. If they want to adjust tanks in preparation for active hardeners, they should have waited with the adjustments till we had them. OR lowered the cost of the tanks so people can afford testing them in THIS build. |

In case you didn't read what I said. I just DID!
And no, not dealing with it, tanks had bugs that needed fixing, true, this hypernerf is far too much, and FAR too aggressive. |

Most players inability to pull that off. Tanks were the Super Heavy Suit that you had to spec into if you wanted to pull down those massive kills if you suck. Now teamwork can really shine and that puts a wet blanket over a lot of people's parties. CCP isn't done tweaking this, obviously, but in the mean time we will hear QQing forever because some gamers just can't admit that they just aren't that good, they lack the inability to not go full R-Tard when something makes them upset, and they can't look at the problem objectively and say to themselves, "How can we make this better?" We share a world with all kinds of people and as we all know, babies cry the loudest.
Different people, different skills. You like the CoD type gun game, and I find it to be ****. I've never been good at the gun tooting, strafing bullshit. I admit that, because that were never my style. Tanks and vehicles however is more my game style. I had hopes CCP would have retained an iota of reason, and remembered their lessons from their primary game; EVE Online. And don't tell me to go play World of Tanks (as some anti-tank whiners do). That game has nothing to do with this. |

Speak for yourself. I were surprised at the AV nerf, the only one NEEDING an adjustment then were really the AV grenades. That nerf came out of the blue and for no apparent reason that I could tell, not because tankers were whining incessantly here on the forums. Noobs in militia might have, I'm not sure. |

I have an answer for that. But I'm not going to tell you. While I hate DUST at the moment, I don't want to get the ban my answer would so richly deserve. |

No worse than the anti-tank whiners attitudes.
Jane DeArc wrote:In all fairness, most tank players I have seen are like fish out of water when they are outside of their tanks. Pretty much useless to the team and depleting clone reserves.
To be fair, most tank drivers are not spending much SP on non tank skills, if they did they would take a lot longer to get the tanks, besides it is a different play style, and tank drivers are not always used to, or comfortable with the COD style "gun game" DUST is turning into. This is what I hoped from DUST, being in the EVE universe, that it would allow for people to SPECIALIZE their skills into the game style they are most comfortable with. But as it is now, drivers are forced to play the infantry part for ages between being able to buy their tanks, which then get blown up in short order.
But it looks like DUST is going the way of all the other FPS games. The way of the COD (or crud if you will). So sad. All because the cod fans have been allowed to take over the now primary opinion exchange channel between the devs and the players, the IRC. Trust me, you do not want to go in there, and mention any pro-tank sentiment... At best you are asked to provide DETAILED math to support your position, and even then they'll just tell you you are an idiot, or worse, and they are right, even if all they can provide is anecdotal evidence at best. |

And no, not dealing with it, tanks had bugs that needed fixing, true, this hypernerf is far too much, and FAR too aggressive. because dropsuit EHP nerf + AV -20% nerf was not "FAR too aggressive." We put up with that for WEEKS, surely you can return the favour, or is that too big an ask now that you can actually die from a Reasonable amount of damage actually you know... DAMAGING you.
1. I never supported that nerf, I have no idea why they did it, so don't put blame on me for it.
2. That is probably the most idiotic thing I've seen today. I feel more stupid for having just read it. The answer to a bad nerf is reverse the nerf and punish the other side because of it for a while?
SOME tank modules had issues/bugs, the tanks themselves were plenty easy to kill had it not been for that bug. No way should militia gear be able to solo kill a 1-2M isk tank, that is where we are now, and that is so much worse than the AV nerf, which they have more or less reversed now, haven't they? |
