Kiriap. The numbers already speak loudly, the latest AV boost and Tank hypernerf is just far far too much. If you need us to test tanks, lower their price to the level they are now worth. About par (cost wise) with an Advanced Forge gun I'd say.
You seem to be forgetting that we're getting active shield / armor hardeners in the next build. What REALLY hurt the tank, is the same thing that REALLY hurt dropships, SHIELD & ARMOR AMPLIFIERS were nerfed. With active shield / armor hardeners, you will be able to use SKILL to give you bursts of high damage resistance.
Believe it or not, CCP is making DUST 514, I think they have a slight idea of what it is they're doing. |

If they want to adjust tanks in preparation for active hardeners, they should have waited with the adjustments till we had them. OR lowered the cost of the tanks so people can afford testing them in THIS build.
Oh no, you have to be on the end of the spanking wheel for a little while, WAAAA. It's a beta.
Deal with it and provide feedback. |

That's how they do it. They tone things way back, then they start tweaking them upwards slowly. Guess it's time to bust out your militia suit and go 25/4ish that way instead. The only reason I bitched about dropships was because it's a nightmare to learn how to fly them, not because they're super expensive paper airplanes. If you don't want to deal with it and try to change your tank fits, try something else, or put the game down till the next build. They can't just patch things on a whim, so like it or not, you're stuck with this until the next build. |

You mean like all the retards that couldnt figure out how to put some SP into a custom AV class, and instead chose to come here and whine about "OP tanks" til CCP went and overdid a nerf so that all vehicles are ****? Is that what you mean?
More like the groups of guys that DID put points into AV, and were hunting tanks in coordinated packs, and were STILL being slaughtered unless they got very lucky, or the tank driver fell asleep while fondling himself. You lack the vision to see where these changes are going. |

And the other half were coordinated teams and / or skilled lone wolfers that worked alongside other skilled lone wolfers (inevitable with the current lack of real corporations) Tanks were too strong. This game is all about customization, and we're getting more and more options for how to fit things. All of the changes that happen now are likely made in anticipation of these changes, to help generate more data for CCP to draw from.
I laugh when people bring up the tracking speed reduction on turrets, because they're putting out modules that increase the tracking speed. It's all about fitting your vehicles and dropsuits to match both your playstyle, and the potential circumstances you might face. This is a persistent universe. If you show up and trash someones place, you just might face the fury of an entire enemy alliance falling down upon you, it all depends.
EVE players are going to REVEL in destroying tanks and other large weapons platforms from space |
