I normally only get invalid fittings after I have restocked using the fitting window. Same for others too? |

It had been about an hour since the last one of these, thanks for meeting the need.
Please read the stickies, if you have an issue, search for it first and add to the thread.
It's easier for devs to read and gather info from one thread, and if hundreds of incomplete threads exist they won't bother. |

I've been trying to find a solid way to recreate this bug, but I can only do it for a new toon and it's not 100%.
Basically,
create new toon Play about 4 matches Use market and buy an item Use dropsuit fitting Play match
This seems to invalidate all of your dropsuits ( at least for me, anyway - happened once for first toon, and twice for other)
Also after leaving the match and using instant battle afterwards the instant battle won't show (window invisible?), it'll just sit there unresponsive apart from the chat popup.
Restarting game seems to resolve it tho. |

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday! I was wondering if this was a bug and it is! Absolutely annoying when I buy a new weapon and lose it (sometimes it replaces my weapon with another not made for that class?). How do I get this fixed? I give my IP address and they re-stock my old items?? |

Agreed - BUT this one is a new one to me! (just reporting here instead of new thread for CCP's sake) I just finished a battle and hit Instant Battle again - no changes this time (I have had the restock issue before). Boom 'Invalid Fitting'. A new variation of this bug for me. I always restart after a major fitting change or restock to avoid 'Invalids' (GATTACA anyone?), but I have never had this happen where NOTHING changed other than maybe my loot income from previous match (which changes my stock). I wonder if I tried to join too fast and didn't let the servers catch up to my inventory? |

It has something to do with trying to communicate with the server to get it's side of what inventory you have or do not have.
So it can often happen when directly dealing with inventory/fitting issues, and alternatively when querying inventory data.
JUST my suspicions as a programmer based on how the error arises.
As a result, I believe it to be a server-side error...maybe with queuing messages/responses (no response means blank inventory means invalid fitting)? |
