Seriously. All this is right now, is a glorified main menu. Without a world outside of the battlefields, there is no reason to having to endure a loading screen for what the MQ currently offers. |

I know where this will eventually lead, but right now it is a pointless loading screen. |

How about... Instead of complaining about it, you mention things within it that can be improved. Like walking speed, right now it's kinda slow for me and if they do expand it more so people can socialize I don't want to have to walk at a snail's pace when I'm trying to get from point A to point B. |

Adding to the above, it would also be cool if your squad showed up in the Squad Leaders MQ. Something that could benefit both EVE and Dust is some decoration for the MQ/CQ. It's also something the developers can charge Aurum for, because it's unimportant but might also bring in some cash for them.
Although it would be great if they still offered decorations for ISK (which I imagine would be crafted and then sold by EVE players). |

Agreed. There is also no point in loading player textures while waiting in a game lobby. There is 2 loading screens that could be completely avoided. |

Does anyone actually walk around the quarters anyway? I don't since you can access all the "stations" via the start button menu anyway so why spend time walking around slooooooowly. |

Even though i agree that the MQ doesnt have any real use at the moment, it's always nice to have as it gives the game its personality and mood. It helps immerse the players in this universe.
Maybe it would work better if we had to walk around to use the different menus from the items in the MQ but clearly, it would be annoying as hell ^^ |

I agree. Anything to reduce the round trip time between finishing one map and starting another. Walking in station would be cool if we could run. Right now it is mosey around in station. |

While I understand the reasoning you have, I just can't get behind you on that. I love the small stuff like the Merc Quarters far too much to advocate its removal. |

If Dust is going to be building on Eve, an MMORPG, which shares the connectedness of the world and many of the same elements (albeit in different forms), it only stands to reason that Dust would have a bit of an RPG element to it such as walking around in merc/corp quarters so you can see your corpmates when such player corp begin to exist. |

Yeah. When there are stations to walk in, connected to the MQs where I can meet others, then I have absolutely nothing against that. I would like that. But currently it is just a glorified main menu (with some options missing that you can only reach via NeoCom anyways). If it had no loading screen, I again would not object, but as it is now, it is just a pointless pause before the next match. |
