All they need to do is work on the blocking mechanics of what stops the "splash" blast. Removing splash damage or reducing it more than it is (for some of the weapons) will make them useless. I understand having to line up a shot on mag, but MAG isn't Dust. I will say I've been hit behind walls by splash, but that can be fixed with the mechanics and collision detection. Not a nerf. |

Obama DAT wrote:Was in that game with you. That tank was parked a mile away outside the range of all weapons just spamming rockets into doorways the whole match. It was just outside the reach of my forge gun without having to travel outside the somewhat safe confines of the building. Was one of the cheesiest tank moves I have seen yet in this game.
That tho, sounds like someone who is being a tool. perhaps tanks should not be allowed to come into CqC battle types/maps? |

It was very satisfying as a player to shoot someone with it . It took skill and because of that made it much more enjoyable .
Sorry I didn't finish my thought on that one. I guess I should let you know that on Battlefield 3 I'm always the guy with the LMG set up suppressing the crap outa the other team. Essentually the point I was trying to make is that with how guns would evolve and advance over time, the weaponry in Dust would/should not be like MAG weaponry. There should be differences, and one of them is specing into the turrets to gain accuracy. I've hopped into the gunners seat of a tank a time or 2, put the crosshairs on someone, pulled the trigger and watched my shot go left, and by that I mean about 40 degrees off course. I will agree, as it stands tanks need some tweaking on their weapons, but all in all I enjoy the rush of running like a girl while trying to line up a shot with my forge gun to maybe damage/kill a tank. (If there were more people trying to AV, this would be less of an issue as well, but most AV weapons suck against people....another topic to discuss!)
Splash mechanics need help, but so do a lot of other aspects of the game. You bring up good points sir, and getting splashed on around a corner in a building is BS. |

Hardly play anymore really, and if things don't change big time on next build or patch I probably won't be playing at all. Sick of all the freezing, lagging, kick outs etc.etc.etc.
Just throwing this out there. You do know this is a Beta, and therefore it is to help work out all these bugs, right? Have you been reporting your issues or just getting angry and stomping around? |
