I have looked at the drop uplinks and notice some give you multiple spawn at the same time. Cant wait to get some sp to upgrade to those.
This might change the dynamics of how we spawn.
Squad leader spawns ahead finds a spot then the troops come. This is more a a battle strategy i thought of. Comment pls? I stated scout becuz he moves faster than all right now. Cant wait to see the PROTO LOGI. gotta lvl up! GRIND! GRIND! GRIND! |

Yeah they are, but who has ever used the ones for multiple spawns at the same time? The one spawn at a time ( for me ) is kinda slow we need all troops there at the same time. Gotta lvl up my drops as well and my nanos to fix armor. Do you get points for fixing the armor of other players from the nanos? |

I drop both close to each other. Just in places the enemy can't camp both from the same spot. |

I spread them out sorta like a triangle, or across the field down the middle. Ive noticed u need 3 at the same time to prevent spawn sitting.... yeah you need like 3 at the same time. JMO |

It takes too long to wait for someone to put out a spawn point, especially at the beginning of the game. By the time the spawn point is out, you could have gotten almost there yourself, and then there's the question of whether the scout survives the trek....
That aside, spawn points are awesome!!! Especially during the earlier builds, to prevent spawn camping.... 'twas a necessity! |

yea iirc correct u get +15 for team heal from the nanohives.. and +10 or so for a resupply. the squads I'm in we use droplinks religiously.. you get +25 for a squadmate spawn in.. idk why more pplo dont use them it's very rare to see other ppl placing them. basically the 1rst squad member goes in and places one then waits for the rest to spawn in on ambush then we all go find a choice spot to place the next. we occasionally use them on skirmish also.
consequently someone from my squad is usually 1rst place on scoreboard. it doesnt alway work perfect sometimes we are ambushed by random spawners, sometimes we have to fight for the spot we want to place the droplink. other times the droplink gets camped. the nanohives that heal are excellent for defense and holding a line, the heal rate is very fast
if you like leading squads for the time droplink and hives are the way to go, plus a decent vehicle, i prefer dropship. i have Viper trashships for cheap transport and Myrons for battle.. once ppl see u have these things you'll have little trouble assembling a squad of familiar ppl
if ppl dont choose to use our droplinks/transports we wish them well and find a squadmate who will. whats the point in joining a squad if you're just gonna run around randomly by yourself? small talk in squad chat during a game is kinda overrated but some assume this is what squading is there for instead of tactics while running around/dying by themselves.. then u get the random a-hole who screams at the rest of the squad for not ramboing and solo-hacking (failing) objectives like he does
PS/OT how's that block list coming along CCP? |

I have a build that I start a game with just for placing drop links. Especially in ambush where your team is always scattered to kitten and back. Going to have to add an armor nano hive. I wonder if a type 1 logi can fit a drop link and two different types of hive... hmmm... Insta base. |

drop uplinks are bugged as all **** usually when i drop two (i use the gauged variant, allows for two active), nobody on my team can see either one with the exception of like, one dude.
and it randomly vanishes from their spawn overview to appear on someone else's overview, it's dumb |

yea i forgot about the bug where you're spawning in, someone destroys the droplink and then you're stuck in the map screen with no way to cancel spawn or respawn..
and you don't time out of the match so: i guess they're getting us randomly ready for directing the battle from the MCC |

Think that happened to me once so I stopped using them/deploying them.
I've had a couple problems with drop uplinks. I've had to quit game and restart it to get out of it sometimes. |

Multiple people can already spawn on a beacon. I don't understand where you got this "only one person at a time" thing.
All the later drop uplinks do is allow you to place more around the map at the same time, over only one active ever. For example, I played a corporation match with a guy who had the top tier drop uplinks with the eight second spawn timer. He simply left them on/near the objectives, making it so that when an objective was under attack or closer to where you needed to go, it was more effective to use the drop uplink than the objective itself as a spawn. |

Yes multiple ppl can spawn from the standard uplinks .... I have read the advanced descriptions and it sounds like multiple spawns at a time. so forgive me if im reading them wrong but thats kinda how its described and I only see 1 person at a time coming outta mine!
R-9 is what im talking about. The advanced ones allow for 1 active at a time and thats what it says. so what is multiple deployment? must mean clone deployment?
If not explain pls, Because i dont have those in my arsenal, and Its the only one that says multiple deployment. This cannot mean spawns. It seems they all allow for min 10 spwns per uplink or does it? |

I haven't looked at them in awhile but i believe what it means by multiple deployment is that it has more total spawns available as each drop uplink has a limited amount of times it can be spawned at before it is no longer usable. |

Yep, that one is irritating. Yesterday i went to spawn into a teammate's dropship equipped with a mobile CRU. Right when i selected to spawn to it, his ship blew up. I was left at the overhead map with no option to spawn or anything. I did actually time out of the match eventually though.
I would hope the MCC commander gets a much better map/gizmos to look at, poor guy. It's lonely up there.
Edit: To answer the OP, I don't wait for an uplink to be placed from the start of a game unless someone on the mic tells me they are placing one, then i will wait. If one is placed i will spawn to it every time even if it's in a location i don't want to be just to give the owner the points they receive for my spawn. No sense in points being wasted for no reason when someone could be receiving them. |

I play Assault with a breach or tactical rifle.
First spawn is usually including a drop-link that gets dropped somewhere I think is practical, then I try to rekit into a similar suit with a set of nanites (at a resupply depo).
Not exactly Logi/Recon type of setup, but it gets the job done |

Pet hate about uplinks I place is spawn camping, not by the enemy (I hide them real good!) but by your own team-mates. I place them on the battlefield so you can get back into the fight, not so you sit there protecting it like it's an objective and drawing attention to its location, spawn and go, spawn and go!!
I unloaded a clip into a team-mate with no mic trying to get him to move, first time I have ever wished for friendly fire!!! |
