One game I played once had the Covert ops class allowing him to steal enemy uniforms (after killing someone and taking it from the dead guy) to blend in with the enemy. Its true that most of the dropsuits look the same but at least making it so that it appears that who ever stole the suit looks to be on the enemies team. In that same game they also had the ability to plant mines in the ground and only with the right skill using the binoculars could they be detected. Any way I thought that this would be fun to have in this game. With that said also Is there a way to be all the way down on the ground.. ? Thanks CCP for this great game! |

Baal Jagorin wrote:Oh yeah never mind the super futuristic tech that incorporates IFF transponders into every suit, tracking chips, neural uplinks, orbital tracking systems, just to name a few...I'm sorry if it seems like I'm trolling but it would be vastly better have something similar to the Killzone 3 sniper shroud. Thats the point everything would be hacked to look like you were on the enemies side....still it be fun!! |

As for disguises, well, stealing uniforms doesn't make much sense, but yeah, some kind of hacking module that would let you somehow temporarily convert your enemy signal into a friendly signal to the other team might be interesting. Only, how would you counter it? What would the limitations be? In these other games (like TF2) you wind up with limitations on what your disguised self can do, and there wind up being other things in the game that can breach your disguise. That might be necessary, lest we see an epidemic of "friendlies" shooting us in the back every game. Perhaps training skills up to the point where when you point your gun over them it takes ahwile for there name to show up?While if its a ally then there name pops up right away? Not to mention that the true not fake person would also be on the battlefield.... be fun! lol I am sure there could be something figured out. |
